I have stayed at RIU Negril and it was similar to this resort but I think that RIU Negril has a longer beach. Both RIUs look great and are filled with entertainment!

Absolutely love your vidio about resort. I was a little bit frustrated wich resort to book. But after watching I made a decision, definitely Rio Ocho ! I LOVE ❤️ the beach !!!! We stayed at Riu Palace Tropical Bay at Negril , but I feel the Ocho one more beautiful layout. Thank you ,It was really a pleasure watching the video.

Can you comment on ROTB. Here it’s a more expensive resort than Ocho but not sure it’s worth it for a first time to Jamaica

Your videos on these resorts have been top notch! Love it👍🏾 My husband and I will be traveling to Jamaica for the first time in 2024 to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. So far, between Riu Ochos Rio and Bahia Principe Luxury which resort did you enjoy the most overall? Those are the 2 we have narrowed it down to.

Thank you for the great feedback! It’s a tough choice between Riu and Bahia, but Bahia would be my choice mainly because of the grounds, beach, food and huge swimming pool! Riu is great for families with young children because of the water park. It also has incredible entertainment and it's very close to Ocho Rios and popular attractions like Dunns River. We plan on doing a comparison review of both hotels soon. Note: Bahia is currently doing renovations and new constructions - it's being done discreetly, though. I hope you have the best holiday in Jamaica 🇯🇲

I am so glad I watched this review. I was debating between this resort and one that is not that far from that one, and after watching this review I made up my mind, my family and I are going to Riu!! Thank you so much 🙏🏽 We haven't stayed at Riu in Negril as yet, but we've heard it's really lovely. When it comes to food, there is a lot to choose from, which is great, but if you are after an authentic Jerk, you'll have to venture out. There are a couple of resorts that we were pleasantly surprised with in terms of food: Jewel Grande in Montego Bay & Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay- where they served very tasty and authentic Jamaican dishes. As for Riu, we have always found something nice to eat. I hope this helps,have a wonderful time in Jamaica 💚

Hi, glad you checked out my video 😄 About smoking, it's actually not common in most places, especially resorts. Despite what you might see in the media, it's pretty low-key in real life. You only really see it at specific events. None at the tourist spots or where we stayed.
