@@amygoodson-catlady I don't contradict you. On the one hand, I deliberately look for the good side of others and try to ignore their flaws, sometimes obvious. This attitude, together with the contemplation of Beauty, helped me get out of depression years ago. You know, completely lucid people are sad. On the other hand, this reactor really has an original concept with guests from social media / modeling, which increases awareness about Nightwish music. Another great reaction and how nice to share it with a friend. Ever Dream was the hardest song for Floor to sing until Shoemaker. The reason for this is that she belts out the high notes while it was originally sung in head voice. They all kill it, and Marko, the bass player who chimed in has an outstanding voice also. His harmonies with Floor are off the chart. it's nice to see you enjoy the music we all love so much. we'll be right there with you🤘

Yes, Marco Hietala (the bass player) is an amazing singer in his own right. He is also very famous in Europe and has been around since the mid 80's. Sadly, he is no longer with Nightwish, but has left the door open to come back.

I am waiting patiently for Song of Myself from Wacken and 7 Days to the Wolves from Wembley... In both you'll get some more Marco but to really hear what he can do: High Hopes, Hartwall 2005 Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean from Buenos Aires 2018 Ghost River from Wacken While Your Lips are Still Red from Wembley 2015 The Islander from Tampere 2015 Marco is one of the best male metal singers around. Last Ride - maybe Wacken, but I like Masters of Rock 2015

Thank you thank you thank you for pointing out that metal music is not just about screaming....... It's amazing after all this time that some people still think that that's what metal music is about and regarding the singers of metal music my personal opinion is that they are better than almost every other genre when it comes to singing because these singers are being asked to do things with their voices that other genres wouldn't even think of doing these metal singers are so diverse and if you hadn't noticed but I'm sure you have they are all better life than in the studio and that is mindblowing it's not just nightwish it's a whole host of other metal bands especially from Europe

I am so happy that you guys discovered Nightwish and enjoy their music! It is a fact that metal musicians are one of the most skilled and talented in the music industry. Metal music contains a lot of elements taken from classical music compositionwise. Symphonic metal is even more special because it also uses classical instruments and choirs, and also very often - classical or operatic vocals. I am sure many people told you already how talented and amazing Floor Jansen is. But I would like to encourage you to dig more into Marko Hietala music. He is one of my favourite male singers in metal, his range and vocal versatality is insane. He was very successful in his home country, Finland even before joining Nightwish. He formed a band "tarot" together with his brother, you can check "Wings of Darkness" on youtube, it's a wonderful time machine :) And for more modern song, I hope you will check out "The Islander" live from Tampere, "While Your Lips Are Still Red" from Wembley (both with Floor on backing vocals!) and some old stuff with Nightiwish first singer, Tarja - "The Phantom of the Opera" from End of an Era show.

Floor, is around 188 cm tall (if my inch to metric conversion is correct)....in heels, so goes close to 200 cm if you know the american system she's 6 feet, 1.5 inches in bare feet, and here is wearing 4 to 5 inch heels.....she is truly the Valkyrie Goddess.....audience was an intimate little gathering of 82,000 metalheads....this entire show is on both DVD, and KZbin, under the title "Showtime, Storytime".....hello from Nightwish Army, South Carolina USA

But Ever Dream is about a protagonist who has fallen in love -- and they are trying to get the attention of the person who is the center if their affection. You've not heard any vocalist/drummer duet like this, where the frantic combination of drumming and desperate vocals so perfectly encapsulates what it feels like to be in love.

I think many get a bit upset with the Evanescence comparison, since they usually have it backwards. Nightwish came before Evanescence, not the other way around. Nightwish is also far more versatile, uses up to 3 lead vocalists (1 female and 2 male) at a time (in addition to the 2 female vocalists that came before Floor) and each musician is talented as f**k. The amount of talent just the keyboardist/composer/poet alone has is incredible

As I understand it: Tuomas (on keyboards) wrote this song as a love song to his future girlfriend. As the band exploded in popularity he got a bit worried. I am American myself but after listening to a ton of nightwish I can tell you that night wish and Evanescence in my opinion are not even closely related they are different genres of music....... There's a bunch of other reasons also but that's not important to this reaction.
