THE BEATLES how you're missed. Their songs will last forevermore. Thank you, Lord, for sharing your blessings 🙌 ❤

I also feel obligated to point out that this is the song Frank Sinatra called the best love song ever written. It really is gorgeous, and shows that George was every bit as talented a songwriter as John and Paul were.

But Sinatra famously credited it to Lennon/McCartney! lol

As the saying goes, George had the grand misfortune of being a great songwriter in a band with two best of all time. In videos you can see that John and Paul often ignored his input. They treated him like an apprentice. But I think George gets his comeuppance with his masterpiece, Here Comes the Sun, being the #1 streamed Beatles song.

There has been a perfectly good word in English for over 600 years years. Obliged. WTF is this obligated nonsense?

@@Scottshodgepodge and Paul McCartney made a joke about that on The Anthology documentary. He said: "Thanks, Frank".

And just look at John and Paul’s ladies without a single scrap of make up on their faces. But still deeply loved by their men.

The woman George wrote this for is his wife Patti Boyd. Patti was married to George through the 60s until she fell for his best friend, Eric Clapton. Eric then married her with George's blessing. Between the two, over 15 songs were written about her. Making her the most popular muse in modern music. This song, and For you blue, Within you without you, I need you, If I needed someone, /Bell bottom blues, Layla, Wonderful Tonight,........you get the picture. My father would have said that she MUST be able to do a certain thing to force a golf ball through a garden hose. He said it differently though.

I’ve always loved this song, and George Harrison sings lead on this. From what I’ve read, Frank Sinatra said this was the perfect song. He loved it.

45 years of hearing this song and the last verse still gives me chills EVERY time. Not sure if it’s the lyric, the harmony, the way the bass is dancing…..maybe all of the above. Music is a wonderful thing!

Pattie Boyd was undeniably one of the most beautiful women of all time. Just look at that smile at 1:19. No wonder both George and Eric Clapton fell in love with her.

Please do more Beatles. The Greatest Band of All Time. More than 100 timeless classics. Crazy fact, when the Beatles broke up in 1969, the 2 oldest Beatles, John Lennon and Ringo Starr were only 29 years old

The Beatles' Swan Song...the era of "The 4 Kings of EMI" was coming to a close as they would soon leave "Camelot". Of the 8 individuals here, only 4 survived, Pattie (George's wife, at the time) Yoko Ono, Ringo & Paul.❤❤❤❤

He did it when he was still with the Beatles but this was Harrison’s song written and performed. And yes Sinatra loved and performed it himself. There’s a live performance on internet of Sinatra talking all about it giving Harrison credit then performing it. The reason people are mentioning it besides Sinatra being a legend himself is that Frank was from the previous Jazz generation that generally hated Rock and Roll.

Sorry for 2 comments…but check this out. George harrison wrote this…insperied by his wife Patty Boyd. Patty was also the inspiration behind Layla and Wonderful Tonight be Clapton. Looks pretty good on a resume 😜

Thanks for listening to the biggest-selling Artists of all time having sold more than the next Acts combined being Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. Only another 229 songs to go and all different styles and appearances. This was towards the end of their 10-year association from 1960-1970. First UK hit:1962 First USA hit:1963 and at one time they had FOURTEEN of The Top 100 Songs including ALL THE TOP 5.😀😀

A lot of drama in those 4 video relationships. Patty Boyd, George's wife and inspiration for the song, was the source of a lot of music including Eric Clapton's Layla. Ringo's wife at the time also got around. Paul and Linda stayed married until her death due to cancer in the 90's, and of course there is John and Yoko. I don't think our fascination with this greatest band of all time will ever end.

Sad that John was murdered, and George Harrison and Paul's wife Linda died of cancer. Ringo and his first wife Maureen shown here divorced, and he married actress Barbara Bach. They are still married. I think Ringo's first wife Maureen died not too long ago of cancer, also. George Harrison's girlfriend or wife shown here is Patty, who eventually left him and married Eric Clapton.
