vocalist Maynard James Keenan guitarist Adam Jones drummer Danny Carey bassist Justin Chancellor/Paul D'Amour Love the reaction! Tool can go heavy and deep and spiritual and back. Even without lyrics. Try watching “sober” live Reading, ‘93.

I first heard Tool around ‘93 and it was their song “sober” and I was sold. It’s still one of my favs by them.

Discovered TOOL in '91. Been a fan ever since. I love watching people discover my favorite band. TOOL will rewire your brain for the better. Welcome to the Spiral.

always worth getting the lyrics up for tool videos dat man got pen yo! Like you notice the tracks called "the pot" and singing "you must've been high"? but in the chorus he also sings "you pis*ed all over my black kettle" i.e. the pot calling the kettle black is a popular idiom for calling someone a hypocrite. his lyrics are always full of interesting , deep, double meanings.

Started jamming Tool in 93 when I was 14 thanks to my older sister. She took me to see them on their AEnima tour in a tiny club for my 16th birthday in 96. I took her to the Lateralus tour in 01 and the 10,000 Days tour in 06. Last time I saw them was in 19 on the Fear Inoculum tour. All thanks to my sis being awesome. Can't wait for the next album! Oh..also saw A Perfect Circle in 00. I likes me some Tool lol

I was even later... got hooked on them when Fear Inoculum was released in '19. They're a truly special band!

@@PongGod Same here! I have always known about them....have liked a few of their songs, but never really paid attention to them until Fear Inoculum. I went back to the very beginning and just fell absolutely in love with them. Some people are just meant to create together.
@PongGod2 ай бұрын
@@tahoe_1353 That's my story exactly. I already knew about Schism (and liked it a lot) and had some familiarity with Prison Sex thanks to Beavis and Butthead lol. Fear Inoculum, to me, is peak Tool. I just their more mature sound and think Pneuma and Descending are just incredible. I also love the Lateralus and 10,000 Days albums. I know a lot of OG Tool fans love Aenima, but I'm not as big of a fan of that album. A lot of good songs, but none that I really love.
@tahoe_13532 ай бұрын
@@PongGod Haha, that's awesome. Yeah, I loved Schism, Sober, Lateralus, but it was kind of "whatever" at that moment in time. My main band at that time was Metallica....still is, always and forever. Haters can hate :) Once I heard Fear Inoculum, though, there was a massive shift. Some people are just supposed to meet in life. Tool, Metallica, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, the list goes on. Hard to imagine what it would be like without these groups.

@@tahoe_1353 Cool, those are all great bands. I like quite a bit of Metallica, but wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan (although I do own a Ride The Lightning t-shirt and also got one for each of my two daughters!) Anyway, after my huge Tool obsession from 2019-2021 I then stumbled onto Buckethead and that's basically all I listen to in my car anymore. The guy has an incredibly huge catalog (3000+ tracks) of amazing guitar instrumentals, everything from metal to easy listening. It's just tragic that so few people even know he exists because he's not part of the mainstream music scene. If you're curious, I could recommend some great ones to check out.

I remember being creeped out by their videos on MTV in the mid-90s but I got on board around 2001 or 2002. Great great band, always worth watching live.

🔥🔥🔥 hey guys, great reaction and I like your format! Yeah, tool is definitely one of the best progressive rock, bands,, ever,, the lead singers Maynard James Keenan, the guitar player is Adam Jones, drummer is Danny Carey and the bass player is Justin Chancellor! They have so many great songs that I am positive. You guys would all totally dig,, they definitely have a very, very unique vibe.🔧🔧🔧 they started in 1992. I’ve been listening to them since about 1994,, I’m an old fuck LMAO but I’ve been listening to them for at least 30 years of my life and I have to say they are one of the best bands of all time great job keep it up.🔥🔥🔥🔥

Lyrically so accurate and instrumentality outstanding as always with Tool. Have you checked out The Warning yet? 3 sisters out of Mexico that are the best band in rock right now. All songs are in English but 3 and they just released their 4th album Keep Me Fed. They literally don't have a bad song.

Saying this is "Fire" over and over again, seems to me that the listener is either trying to impress their counterparts or is limited in their communication/vocabulary skills. There are literally hundreds of other adjectives to choose from. Are all people under 30 this hopeless?
