About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

Out of all the travel vloggers on KZbin, you guys never fail to take me on the experiences that I would choose if I were able to travel.....I dont think I would enjoy those crowds very much from my wheelchair, like you both Im an introvert, but every single thing youve shown in Japan so far has been something I would love to do and experience. Thank you. You will never know how much of a gift your videos are to me. Oh and 2 other things, Megan, Jack is right, your hair looked adorable and I love the look of amazement and wonder on your face at the lights and fishes.

Japan spoils things for us Aussies. Everyone is so polite. Trains are fantastic, they are clean and efficient (and everyone is quiet). Shinkansens are a whole new level. We couldn't get Suica cards, only Pasmo. Team labs is brilliant. Loved Disneyland and DisneySea. Shibuya Sky roof a beautiful sunset experience.. And if course, the Shibuya Scramble. Then there's the parks and temples. We're venturing further around Japan at present and it's all amazing. Weather is quite warm for autumn.

Loved this vlog, and the sensory place - wow never knew such a thing existed! ooooh the fresh salmon!! Salmon sashimi is my favourite, also love fresh salmon with a squeeze of lemon juice. Loved seeing you both try these new foods. You have inspired me to try ramen. Never tried it!! Get some of the wacky flavoured kitkats! Great video . Oh and you must try the Barley drink from the vending machines. A unforgettable taste😬 Another one to try is a seaweed based tea. That will wake you up and focus your thoughts. Brilliant place Tokyo, busy, fun and so so much to take in though. I was offered a good time in Shinjuku at may age that was a bit of a laugh. Busses are the way to go if you want to discover random unplanned points of interest. There is no numbers like the trains , you have to work out how many stops by the map. As I learned after getting on the bus. Still it was a nice walk after getting of the bus way early.

The oldest temple in Japan is Asuka Temple in Nara Prefecture. It was built in 596 AD. Sensoji Temple is the oldest temple in Tokyo. It was built in 628 AD. So many KZbinrs have done 1-2 blocks and say that is ALL (( absolutely not true, absolutely no way )) it goes on for miles, with hidden streets that you must look for. There’s even a 4 story Christmas love hotels. Best coke ever. YES both tired from exploring. Looks like a great Apt, air condition / washer, dryer rare. I must have ALL. Yummy squid. No doubt about it, you guys are funny. Loving the travel blog. For sh*ts and giggles, even for just one night, you guys should try a higher-end capsule hotel or business hotel that are available in and around Japan's major cities. Many includes free food (that you cook yourself), drinks and amenities (like meeting rooms, Wi-Fi, spa/sauna etc) incl. with your accommodation fees - they are relatively affordable. Have you noticed that front doors in Japan opens out (instead of in, like they do in AUS or elsewhere)? It took me a while to get used to them. 😁

Glad I wasn't the only one intimidated by the trains lol. I ended up just sitting at the airport for hours because I had no idea what I was doing and was super nervous. I wasn't staying in Tokyo, I was visiting a city a few hours away, so taking the train was essential. Eventually I forced myself to just do it because I knew trains stopped at around 1am and it was getting late. When I actually started, it was super easy and pretty fun tbh!

We will be in Japan next year. Haven’t booked accommodation yet. Can you tell me the name of the place in Tokyo that you booked on Agoda. Not the Airbnb but the second one.

3:15 That'd just be what they call a love hotel. It doesn't provide you someone to stay with, but if you already have someone to stay with, it provides you with a room where check-in and check-out can be a mere two hours apart.

FYI, you can get lots of different types of foods at the 7-11 in Japan compared to America. Over here, it's just potato chips / sodas / smells weird. Shrug. What gives? What about in Australia? hmmm?

This is one of my bucket lists. Thank you for sharing, guys. BTW, can you please tell me what phone service you use? Is it telstra? We are planning to travel to a few different countries. Just want to know which best and cheap phone service 😅 Cheers

Hey Nora! Glad you enjoyed the episode 😊 We’re using E-sim cards! Depending on how old your phone is you can purchase them online and pre install it on your phone so you just turn it on when you arrive. We only use data only esims so we dont have numbers over hear we can only use data for accessing what’s app Facebook Instagram KZbin banking apps ect. But depending on how long you’re coming you could go with Vodaphone before you go international and they only charge $5 a day you can make calls and use your same number ect and access everything on Your phone the same way you do in Aus. That’s what we did for our first few days here 👍 Telstra charge $10 for the same thing not worth it with Telstra. Check out Holafy for the esims
