As someone else said, a DO35 hitch is a must. I run 100ah lithium in my car. Plenty for my 55litre fridge. Van looks great guys.

I’ve got a go further itech battery box 120 amp lithium run a 80L freezer with 120 watts on roof and have a 300w solar blanket. That’s all you need. The battery box comes with a 40amp charger plug in and play so good.

Loved this video, so relatable!! When I did my first van build, I quickly learnt that drawers would be the bane of my existence. Second time I made them, they were better, but still took me hour and hours to get right. I love building vans and fitouts, but I would happily never have to install a drawer again! Hahah. They look great though, keep smashing it!!

So happy your doing the bathroom now. Phew. Loving following you guys. I looked at the same caravan the 2nd one you guys looked at I look at before I was told about you guys. I have also brought a caravan to do up so loving what you’re doing. I believe Merv would be loving just as much as everyone else. Keep smiling and shine x

Hey guys, Another great video! My wife and I have been following you for a few years no...very inspiring. We're currently on our first trip around Australia, living full-time on the road (thanks for all the tips). She's still working full time, so we've got Starlink with us , which drains a lot of juice from the battery. I decided to go with a 200Ah lithium battery only because of the Starlink. I believe 200Ah is overkill for normal camping, however, with that said, I do use an induction cooker, electric kettle, and electric sandwich press all the time, which I couldn't do before, haha. To be honest, I don't even have to check the battery capacity since it has plenty of juice. So, my two cents...if you have the space, why not? I guarantee it will be one less thing for you to worry about. I truly believe that a good solar system is much more important than a big battery. Rigid panels are MUCH better than foldable ones. I currently have 270W on the roof plus another 300W foldable "Croc/Raptor Skin" (very expensive but the best portable option I could find on the market). I definitely overkilled with the solar panels, but since my wife is still working full time on the road, I'd rather have a great system just in case, as we don’t always get perfect sunlight conditions and she still have to be connectaded the whole day. Excited to see your next videos and what sort of decisions you guys make. All the best, Gab

Currently travelling after leaving Perth in November last year. We have travelled across the Nullabor, through SA, Victoria before spending 8 weeks in Tassie. Left Tassie and now in Queensland. I put a 200Ah lithium in the canopy which is charged from the alternator and 240 Watts of solar on the roof. We also use a 140W folding panel to make sure the batteries in the car and van stay topped up. The battery in the car keeps a freezer powered. We also use it to run Starlink, occasional use of a coffee machine and a rice cooker and for charging of smaller batteries. While we could have gotten away with a 100Ah battery the 200Ah gives us peace of mind.

Great work Jack and Megan. Not sure if you have been asked before but why didn't you do the suspension upgrade back when you had the van stripped right down.

Hey thanks for watching mate! We didn’t have the finances at the time and the welder was unable to make his way out to us. When I was under the caravan grinding the old hangers off to install the new once’s I was regretting not doing it that’s for sure 😂
