The second of four intended series finales (all written by the same guy, Ken Keeler). Truly this is the series that won't stay dead.

It's one thing I love about this show. Whenever it's time for the show to end again, for one reason or another, they always do a great job of having finales that feel conclusive, while also being open-ended enough that the story can be continued if need be. They always strike the perfect balance between season finale, and series finale vibes.

"Can't bend a wall." And Bender took that personally.

Love the giant group shot at the end. Apparently they had to make extra certain no kids were present because of a line saying there's no kids there.

I love that nobody wanting to go to a Celine Dion show and Leo trying to force them into it is a running gag in this.

In California we have a lot of neighborhoods like "The Oasis", where they're named for a tree or flowering plant that used to be all over that area, but was removed completely and replaced by houses or shopping centers.

Seth MacFarlane sings the opening song, called "That Was Then (And This Is Too)". As well as a cameo in a future episode.

This is my favorite thing about Futurama. Many season finales were so wholesome and went out with a real bang. Futurama was canceled so many times by Fox and Comedy Central that in a lot of these they genuinely weren't sure if the show would return so they treated the season finale of those seasons as though as they were the final episode. This was one of them and that's why the characters were acting like they might never return after going through the wormhole. In the first episode after returning from being canceled the first time they did a bit where they turned the executives responsible for canceling them into an all-purpose powder that becomes a running joke for the whole season. lol The little things like that gave Futurama so much character. All hail Hulu for reviving the show once again and hopefully it gets the recognition it deserved 20 years ago. If Fox and Comedy Central weren't so short sighted, then Futurama would have about as many episodes as Family Guy by now. Even though they canceled Family Guy twice.

The guy in the 9 shirt was originally going to be a sign in the show that there was a caste system but they got rid of that plot point and reused him here.

Yeah, I've generally got an opinion on all four of these movies in that two were good, one was just okay and one was "Eeeh". While I do believe that "Bender's Big Score" was the BEST WRITTEN👌, I also believe that "Into the Wild Green Yonder" was the MOST ENTERTAINING😆. "Bender's Game", was mostly just spinning its wheels...not the worst, not the best🤔. But "The Beast With a Billion Backs" was such a mean-spirited slog from start to finish that to this day, I have absolutely NO idea who it was being made for😣. At least, that's just MY thinking on it.

@VelkanAngels When we got. Bit in the eye. She started cursing. And you can hear the beeping sounds. That was were not in the past. They said small bad words but they didn't say the F-word or anything. But now they say it. I'm assuming because this airing. A futurama aired around Comedy Central.

Im thinking one writer hated LaBarbara or maybe just the fat guy hot wife trope because a couple of times she completely horrible to Hermes. Fortunately the rest are okay and she a wonderful and loving wife the rest of the time.
@gurvmlk3 ай бұрын
I don't think she's necessarily a bad person or wife, per se. They just developed her to have very shallow views about love. Probably for no other reason than because they thought the bit would be funny in the first movie.

I wouldn’t have mind if “Into the wild green yonder.” was official the finale of Futurama it seems like a lovely way to end because I didn’t like the Futurama Comedy Central era (although they did have some good episodes from it.) but the episodes during that time were definitely not as good as it original run and the 4 movies 🎥 it was going downhill at the same time The Simpsons were completely going downhill for the same reasons (favouring shock value, unfunny jokes, unnecessary overuse s*x jokes, out of character moments, obsession over modern 2010s trends, rather than telling good stories.)
