There were developers from all over the world and wanted that property but Tyler Perry and his team broke it down for the mayor, city council, governor, and State Legislature. personally feel that Jada should of gone only because he really wanted her to. It was a special and unique moment in time and he wanted to share it with his wife. It wasn't about what Jada felt was best it was what mattered to him. I got the sense that he was dissappointed. Saw it in his face while they walked hand in hand. A healthy marriage is one where there is mutual submission which makes each other happy. If she had gone it would not have taken anything from his moment; if anything, it would have made him a happier man because she respected and honoured his request.
