Our first year growing potatoes

With this being our first year on the homestead we didn't want to go all out with growing but we knew a few things we wanted to try our hand at... potatoes was one of those things.
We researched several ways to grow them and decided to go with container planting. As far as trial and error goes, this year was definitely a learning experience.

@ninfadoyle1450 Thank you for sharing, it's not always easy to share the hard times but I want to be open and honest with our channel. Hopefully next season we'll have more than we know what to do with ... but I'll be ecstatic if it's enough for a full meal for our family.

I’m sorry you didn’t get any potatoes. I’ve been using the Ruth Stout method for 4 years. Growing potatoes in straw. Might be something worth looking up. 😊 This has been my best year for growing potatoes.

Potatoes can definitely be tricky depending on climate! But they are definitely a great crop to grow!! I love growing them❤
