Love the Tremor 6.7 diesel. Love it so much I custom ordered a Lariat 250 in Jan 2020. After 7,500 miles, Ford bought it back from me after it spent 88 days in the shop trying to repair the damage done by the Bosch CP4 fuel pump that detonated as it is apparently prone to doing based on the research I did after the fact. Better be adding lubricant to avoid the same result. When Ford decides to go away from the Bosch CP4 - as GM did in 2017 and as Dodge did in 2021 - I'll reconsider the Tremor.

@@jc7435 torque numbers aren't anywhere close to the diesel. Also, when I ordered my F250, the Gozilla engine was brand new, i.e., untested. I actually test drove an F250 with the gas engine immediately prior to driving the F250 with the diesel and opted for the diesel due to the torque. The diesel was, quite simply, a rocket. Unfortunately, it was a rocket with a faulty fuel delivery system that Ford seems content leave in place.

Awesome purchase!! We have a 2019 F350 Dually, and you can download Android Auto (we have Androids, maybe there is also for Apple, etc) and we use Google maps on the phone, plug in to the USB port in the truck and maps show in the trucks display. You may want to plug your phone via USB and take it from there. Really happy for you guys, enjoy!!!!

My wife and I bought a set of (4) collapsible orange safety cones from Amazon and went to our local mall parking lot to practice with our dually and 5th wheel. We made “parking spots“ with the cones and pulled in and out, and also backed in. We found what the trailer was doing with our steering inputs. Walkie Talkies are handy (or cell phones on speaker) when being guided by your partner. With the cones, you can change the layout of the parking area (narrower, wider, longer, etc.)

Hello Chris and Aaron!! Thank you very much for sharing the details of your new truck!! This looks like a really awesome rig! A few years ago when we were shopping for a 1ton single rear wheel truck, I went with the Ram, but my wife liked the F350 better. We had gotten rid of the Ram 1ton; I traded it for a Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner so that we could 4wheel here in Ouray. Well....once we committed to getting a travel trailer and knew we would be towing, it was time to get a 1ton again. We did chose the 7.3l Godzilla. So, if we can time it correctly, you'll be able to compare that once we get our trailers. It is a bit of a risk for us since we live in CO and I know the diesels rule with all of their power. But...I'm hoping the 7.3l with the 4.30 gearing and with my happy go lucky patience, that the extra 45 seconds it takes for me to get to the top of the pass as compared with in your diesel will make the $8k savings worth it. We'll see hehehe That Tremor package looks awesome!! Though I special ordered our truck to get all the options that we wanted, I didn't get the Tremor, mostly out of ignorance as I assumed it would reduce the towing capability. Well...it looks like I was quite wrong. And, considering where we live here in the San Juan Mountains, some of those Tremor perks look like they would have been beneficial. Oh well. So...our mid June ETA of the truck is still holding strong. I'd say, at this point, that is a minor miracle as there are many others special ordering and having theirs canceled and pushed to 2022s. It is going to be fabulous to watch you build out your systems in a way that it takes you through the next 3or so months! Bleh...that is slightly upsetting to hear how much the nav sucks on your truck. We ordered that feature too. Does your truck have android auto or apple car play so that you can continue to use your google maps? I wonder how long I'll continue using that android auto system before I switch over to something like RV Trip to at least get trailer dimensions included in the routing so as to not take out the top of your rig on a low bridge. Safe travels!!! Fingers crossed the rigs come in before October !!

We bought the 2021 7.3 F-250 Lariat and we've put over 15K miles on it since December, loving the 7.3 and the 360 camera system has made maneuvering in tight spaces so easy. Definitely try and mod up something that will allow you to at least have a front camera. I almost got the Tremor model but had a first edition Bronco on order so the wife stopped me from getting the Tremor package, but now we decided to wait on the Bronco so kinda wish we did get the Tremor. That being said, we've done some great off-roading and beach driving and it's handled great! Congrats!

Guys when you have a truck this big it’s always easier to reverse park. Thats how we all do it lol get used to parking in reverse. Trust me makes parking so much easier and the truck is easier to maneuver in reverse.

It also makes it SO Much easier to Leave the Parking Spot, when you can just pull straight out. Trying to Back Out of any parking spot with a truck is a big pain, especially in the city environment. I’ve been backing into parking spots now for 23 years and even if I’m drinking my daughters car, I still back in.

I think the diesel is the best choice. You get twice as much torque, which is amazing for towing, plus you will get way better fuel mileage and btw diesel is averaging about 20 cents cheaper a gallon, at least in my area. Great truck, congrats guys

@@MrJoshuasurillo my old one was max 18k wet and loaded and my new keystone is closer to 16 dry 19 loaded. The suspension and tire combo was too bouncy even at 16k. I was told it was mostly do to the sidewall height on the tires. If I had never towed with another truck and didnt know any better I might have been happy. I dont need a 450 but at the time there just weren't many trucks to choose from but an F350SRW would have been way better. Since I have a 450 now I bought a new 5'er which is a bit larger. The dealer was good to me and I didnt lose any money over it. I even took them for a ride with the 5 hooked up in the tremor. F350 Tremor in my opinion is good for under 13-15 range regardless of what ford says.

Hello again. Our new Interstate arrived and while we were inspecting it, a brand new 2022 Interstate X arrived at the dealer. WoW! It is a one-off for Airstream on the Merc 170 etx chassis. It is lifted 8”, has AT tires, black rhino coating from mid to bottom of rig, top rack with off road lighting and extreme lithium package. It is completely redone inside with area for bikes, etc inside. We were pretty disappointed in our new rig when we saw that lol. We held off taking delivery. It is a sick rig!!! Now keep in mind I'm going the same route your going so now RV hunting. I put an ARE HD cap on the bed which has an internal aluminum structure lining the roof with a capacity of 550 lbs. Four (4) Black Roam 95L Boxes fit perfectly in the 6 3/4 bed. On top of the Roam's is a 10 inch Cool Gel Mattress for Roko Dog. Go Rhino running boards and roof rack. I ordered Goodyear 35's on it with the stock Lariat wheels.

You really need to look at the gen 2 disaster prevention kit. WHEN the cp4 fuel pump detonates, and unfortunately it will, it will literally save you at least 7 to 8 thousand dollars that will come out of your pocket. It costs about 400 dollars plus install. I highly suggest you do it and not look back. S&S diesel is the company.

Nice, glad to hear you got xpp. When I started shopping mid April it was just starting to get really bad and most dealers would not honor it and one even said 10k over! The dealer I bought from backed out of x plan at the last minute on us after the salesmen said yes! These trucks are just too high of demand and someone else actuality had a deposit on it. They ended up ordering a 2022 so we got this one, but I was a little bummed on the pricing. But, we can't wait for a 2022 and need to get back on the road! Thanks for watching!

the jackery 240 is $170 on amazon right now. buy two and it will handle all you needs. My rockpal 300 died after less than two years so I went with Jackery. It ran my 58qt 12volt fridge/freezer for 11.5 hours and still had 17% battery life left. You could get two for a fraction of the price of two lithium batteries and an inverter. actually you could buy three and the solar panel for less than a two battery setup. and its less weight and portable. more flexibility

I have a few suggestions for you (in no particular order) 1. Try and buy electrical components for your truck that you can move to your RV when you get it. I’d suggest Victron components like their DC-DC charger and solar charge controller. 2. Think carefully about purchasing a Multiplus or some other inverter charger. Since your truck already has an inverter you’d be duplicating that component. If you were to get one big enough for your RV it would take up too much space in your truck. The only issue though is that you’d need to run your truck anytime you wanted AC power. My suggestion would be to get a small inverter that you could use with your lithium batteries, or investigate if you can hack the truck so that the inverter works when the truck is not running. 3. I’d suggest a porta-pottie and small shower tent as a portable outhouse. Some have composting capability also. 4. Water storage is going to be a big issue. Be sure to include the weight of your fully loaded water tank(s) in your payload capacity calculations. 5.Standardize all of your 12v power connections with Anderson Powerpoles of the proper rating. That way you can plug any one thing into any other thing whenever you need to use or supply 12V to something. 6. Create a properly fused power distribution box as the central hub in your electrical system. 7. If you find you just can’t fit everything in the bed of the truck, there are plenty of off-road capable mini-trailers that you can get. some have kitchen, water and storage capability.. 8. If you’re going deep off-road, consider adding a front winch to your truck, as well as a recovery kit with tow straps, etc. 9. You should be able to design your system such that solar panels or a dc-dc charger connected to the truck is all you’ll ever need to keep your batteries up. 10. Design it all out on paper and triple check things before you buy anything. Measure twice and cut once. Good Luck, hopefully I’ve at least given you a few things to think about.

Like your truck and your videos. Keep them coming. You can get your iPhone to display Google Maps by plugging your phone into the usb port for the dash. It should pop up and override the worthless Ford GPS. Also, you will have Apple Play and can use other apps on your phone such the pod casts and Libby or other audible book apps. We have a 2020 F150 3.5 Ecoboost and the screen sometimes did not bring up Google/Apple Play. I asked the local dealer to check for updates and since then it seems to work every time. You did not mention the adjustable brake and gas peddles. These sold my wife on the truck. She is short (5-3) and I am 6 ft., she can bring the peddles to the right height for her; then I can put them back for me. We take turns towing a 2018 Flying Cloud 25 FB. Our first Ford and we really like it.

Thanks! Yes, the HD size will limit us on trails for sure, but being full time rvers we need the extra payload for our gear/belongings/water, etc and our 10k gvwr travel trailer. Really liked the Tundra TRD pro as well as the gladiator..... but no good on the payload. Have seen the decked slidouts and they do look pretty nice. Once we have our TT in a couple months we can clear out our giant totes in the bed and possibly go that route.

Hey Justin, thanks for checking out the channel. We both had soul sucking (😳) corporate jobs for about 15 years and half way through we realized that we just weren't happy with doing that for the next 40 years. We got out of debt, lived below our means, and saved up to 75% of income for about 5 years for this transition into fulltime Rving. We started our own business (IreneIronFitness) where Chris is online fitness and nutrition coach and I (Aaron) run the tech side, website, and KZbin Channel. So we now work remotely from anywhere and travel the country. It is an inexpensive way to live so that allows us to spend a bit more on our setup as it is basically our house. Thanks for watching!

Thinking about adding batteries inside of your truck for auxiliary power…. Have you given any thoughts to using a Yeti or Jackey 1000-1500 and adding a solar panel to keep the portable power charged? This would give you power when you need it charging while driving or when sun is available and just keep it in the bed of the truck. Just another option…..

I went on a road trip to Oregon (from Southern California) with my in-laws (who I love...so no jokes about them here). We rented a GMC Yukon for a week. As a Honda Accord driver I have to admit that while I had no difficulty driving the thing, I did have little trouble parking it. I simple could not see the actual parking space over the hood once I got too close. It did not take too long to get it between the lines, but I consistently failed to park far enough up. I was always a couple feet back. Now I know why so many pickup truck/SUV drivers back in...it's the cameras. Mystery solved. Queue comments from people who say they've been backing in to parking spaces since before they had backup cameras...

I've heard about the tire break-in as well and some people just don't like the "feel" of the Dura tracs. I did notice a little bit of wonder or play at highway speeds but nothing too crazy. I just assumed it was the 2 in lift, 35in tires, and HD 1 ton truck components. This is our first truck like this and our Sprinter van (which weighed 10,500 lbs), also had dura tracs on it. We just hit 2800 miles driving back to the midwest from Florida and I'll say it's pretty smooth driving for a big truck. I do notice a little bit of the 10-speed shift at times though and hope that smooths out.

Thanks! To get the most payload of the 1 ton SRW you will have to go with the gas engine and very light on options, like the XLT trim. You can still get a tremor package but the biggest thing that drops the payload is the extra weight of the diesel. Our truck would probably been around 3900lbs in the Lariat trim with the 7.3 gas. So drop as many options as possible like moon roof, etc..

I'm kinda stunned regarding the weak cargo capacity of some of these Tremors. Saw one at the dealer (10,000 lbs GVWR) and the door sticker said max cargo capacity was 1,300 lbs (!) According to the Ford Towing Guide 2021 there is no Tremor with a 4,000 lb cargo capacity, more like about 2,800 lbs max and that is only if stripped. Curious as to what your door sticker says. I think the low cargo rating is why Ford won't certify the Tremor for a camper. BTW, I had a Ram 3500 Diesel and it was a BEAST towing and (surprisingly) has some of the best brakes of any truck I ever owned. The optional 50 gallon fuel tank was nice too :-) You will love this diesel the power is pretty mind blowing.
@IreneIronTravels
@IreneIronTravels 3 жыл бұрын
My sticker is 3442lbs for a f350 with the 6.7 diesel and 11,500 gvwr. A f350 XLT with the 7.3 gas should be over 4,000lbs easy. Here is a good thread for you from the tremor forum where members show their stickers. Looks like around 2,600lbs is the low end for the F250's with a 6.7 and the 10,000 gvwr. Are you sure about that 1,300lbs??!! www.fordtremor.com/threads/actual-ford-tremor-payload.107/
@jamesvelvet3612
@jamesvelvet3612 3 жыл бұрын
@@IreneIronTravels TY for the info! Yes, it was a F250/2021. Even the sales guy was pretty amazed. According to Ford, the max cargo capacity of a Tremor is 2,900 lbs for a base model. Heck, empty a stripped diesel F350 Crew short bed is well over 7,000 lbs. I think you are mixing up cargo capacity and payload. Cargo capacity is the max weight rating that can go in the bed, payload is the gross vehicle weight rating minus the actual weight of the loaded vehicle. For your truck it would be at least something like 11,500 lbs minus say, 7,700 lbs (empty weight) and another 500 lbs for people and stuff. That would leave you 3,300 lbs payload Your cargo capacity is likely about 2,800 lbs EDIT: Wanted to add that on my truck, the door sticker said one thing, but almost at the bottom of the door, so you had to lie on your back to read was another sticker with hand written weights that needed to be subtracted from the door sticker. Had something to do with added accessories that weren't calculated at the factory. I know this is all moot to you guys This truck will meet your needs perfectly! You aren't putting a truck camper on it :-) But if anyone is following it would be prudent to point it out. Who knows, maybe it is all because the Tremor sits higher than other trucks and that is why Ford won't certify it for a truck camper.
