Blue Morelos and Lola y Moya are my faves! The sweet revenge taco at Blue's omg so good and the banana coffee at Lola, omggggg The ice cream place next to the church is so good and the guy working when we were there was so lovely. He didn't speak much English and I don't speak much Spanish but we worked together to make my order and we had some laughs. He was lovely and so was the ice cream

I'm mexican and I have to say those prices are very high! if you visit more traditional markets you will get cheaper food and much more traditional! sometimes touristic places are expensive, for instance the price of a traditional mexican torta in about 2.5 dollars and is quite big!

Hola Raymundo! We totally agree. We have visited other less-touristy cities in Mexico and have found better prices. We mention that in our other Puerto Morelos video - the prices are quite high. Are you from the area?

Punta Corcho is a must experience for anyone visiting Puerto Morelos. The entrance is a little hard to find amongst the shops in the center plaza area of town, but once you climb the stairs you are in for an unforgettable experience. With drinks it can get pricey (about $50 U.S. per person), but well worth it for the exquisite food, unparalleled service, and fishing village ambience. Highly recommended.

Really well done! We were in the Mayan in January for a couple of weeks, and unfortunately did not make it to Puerto Morelos. If we every go back, I think we will base ourselves in Morelos. Looks like our kind of place!

I will stayimg approx 10 min taxi ride from PM. Does anyone know what the going rate is a taxi ride? Thanks in advance!!!

Not sure if you've had any luck figuring it out, but we can't remember the rates. However, we do remember that the rates were based on zones in and around PM, so it probably depends on what zones you are going from and to. The rates, as we remember, were reasonable but not exactly inexpensive. We tried Uber, but no luck when we were there.

Thanks for watching! Puerto Morelos felt very safe while we were there. The people there are very friendly and the whole environment felt very relaxed. As for police, while we didn't see any traditional police around town, we did see the occasional truck with armed soldiers go by. Down on the beach we also saw a couple of armed soldiers keeping an eye on the area once or twice. But again, in our time visiting we never once felt concerned for our safety. Hope that helps!
