OUR GREAT PHILIPPINES ESCAPE - Leaving Balabac By Giant Boat (Becoming Filipino)

We called this unique experience "the great escape", because it felt so unique leaving Balabac this way... as if we were off to Malaysia!
In this video, we join our friend Tamin's father as he goes to visit a friend in Bataraza. We had the opportunity to ride one of the local giant boats called "Lantsa", and it was such an amazing experience. Along the way to the mainland and Bataraza, we stop by Capayas Island. This beautiful sandy island sits just a few kilometers off the coast. From there, we eat some local dried fish, say goodbye, and head into a barangay to find motorbikes. We also find local boat makers... there are so many here!
Getting back on our scooter at Buliluyan Port, we head to the main town of Bataraza, and find ourselves staying at a local Tausug coffee shop and hotel.
The great Philippines escape... at least from Balabac Islands to the mainland!

i miss balabac when i went there 2018...the mainland was small, simple and full of goods from Malaysia and when you go out in the sea it's all super clear blue waters, the finest sandy beaches and lots of sandbars

The giant pineapple in Bataraza reminded me of a large pineapple water tank that used to be next to the Dole Cannery back in Honolulu. What a sad day it was when they took it down. It had gone unused after the cannery shut down and had become unsafe. Pineapple btw is excellent for digestion - always good to have at the end of a meal. Never saw anyone eat it with salt, though. Leave it to Kumar to mix in chilis with the salt.😂

The engine is really loud on the boat 🚤 And you had your diving mask from from Malaysia which is from Saba 🤿🇲🇾 And you see some corals on the ocean some of them are hard and soft 🪸🪸🪸🌊🌊🌊 You had some cassava and a fried dried fish 🐠🐠🍠🍠 And they are building the boat on there mind ⛵️🚤 And you freight the canoe boat on the wood ferry 🛶➡️🚤 And in Balabac they had pineapples like in Bukidnon that is why they had a giant pineapple statue 🍍🍍🍍

Visit Nacpan beach near El Nido. Ranked No.10 worldwide as most beautiful beach. You will need your motorbike to get there. One of the best places i ever visited.
