An elder woman in my family used a handi to find out who stole something from our house. She would write names of all suspects and family on small pieces of paper and put them all in a handi. Then she would put her finger on the esge of handi and recite something and took names of suspects one by one. On the cuplrits name the handi would rotate hence proving this person is the thief.
