New video 😊! I do use the tennis ball to “massage” my feet while sitting at the desk. Works wonders.

I also doing furniture free on my bedroom. I sit on the floor when work on my laptop. But for painting, I use normal table and sit on the chair. I make sure there is enough sun for natural lighting. I do meditation, and take a walk in the outside 30 minutes a day in the morning, play with cat, and drink tea. It really help me.

One of the quirky things I do is put ankle and wrist weights on when I'm at home. Wear them doing chores or moving around the apartment. Another: sometimes I will do leg exercises while I'm laying on the couch reading or laying on the couch with my cat on my chest 😂 Thanks for sharing! Loved some of these ideas!

Hi ❤! Happy to share my rare habits!😊 I found that 30 minutes of mindfulness in the morning before starting to work make me feel more conscious and in the present. Started to eat low carb and paying attention to the quality of the food, prioritizing raw ingredients like vegetables, meat, eggs, etc instead of ultra-processed “food” (not food for me anymore). No alcohol too, I don’t like it. Also I never skip the stretching routine after training in the gym, no matter what. Whenever someone makes a comment about my lifestyle, I don’t care because all of these things that they consider weird make me feel really good on a daily basis and I love it.

I am a big fan of lower body strength. I am always squatting if I can and I try to be barefoot as much as possible. When I am not home I wear barefoot shoes. I have also adopted sitting on the floor for watching tv.

I grew up in a family where we learned how to massage each other! At family reunions we'll sometimes make back massage lines, haha. They're great. But absolutely seen as weird all the places I've lived in the US 😅

I am used to it now, but I"m sure other people think that my wearing barefoot shoes (zero-drop, flexible, wide toe box) is quirky. I also try to sit on the floor as often as possible. It helps my hips and back remain flexible.

So you guys DO stand up. I wish there were some reliable studies published on floor sitting. I've yet to hear any reliable source suggest we should be sitting on the floor. Most say to do a hybrid of sitting/standing (stand-up desk). That said, I did try the floor desk setup.

i'm working on the floor for about 3 month now, bought a really nice table at my perfect height, but i still have an issue that i thought would have disappeared after a while and would love your opinion about it i'm young and healthy 21 years old guy, exercising and stretching a lot, but i'm having back pain in the upper region after working on the floor for too long (3 to 4 hours) with of course breaks every time and naturally moving positions from one another. I feel like it was only because i was new to it, that i will naturally strengthen my back but after 3 month, it still here and i might know why : I work on a computer and draw, it tend to lean me forward to much so i have to remind myself actively to stay straight. Big thing is, my back muscles still in tension for too long to keep me straight then start notifying me about it. I was thinking of my pelvis leaning forward too much because my knee were above it (instead of a chair) and helping it by adding a yoga block underneath to have my spine naturally support itself vertically but doesn't changed anything. I think the main reason is the lack of chairback for my back to rest to. Maybe staying without chairback is a thing when you are doing something active. But when working and focusing for too long i might need one. Any advice on why it's happening ? did you ran into this issue ? Looks like i can't naturally stay straight when sitting on the floor and have to stay in tension wich would damage me in the long run wich is the opposite of the goal Thanks, awesome video as always

Oh no, sorry to hear. Unfortunately we're probably not qualified to give advice on this matter, and we've never ran into this same problem. Maybe you could find something with a backrest just for when you're doing deep, focused work for the time being. Hope you'll find a comfortable solution, good luck!
