Singer-songwriter Jessica Lea Mayfield is a Kent, Ohio based artist who brought her plaintive and minimalist music to The Monarch Tavern last night. I thought it was an awesome show, as her ability to shift from sweet and charming to tough as nails, sometimes within the framework of a single song, made for a captivating performance.
FYI, I always try to take these vids in a way that does not distract the people around me. If I'm in a spot where this is not possible, then I refrain from filming. These are strictly for the purpose of preserving a few memories for myself and they are (obviously) not professionally done.
