"Our Hearts Go Out To LA" | Los Angeles Wildfires Destroy Homes Of Hollywood Stars

British film and TV star Richard Armitage called the Los Angeles wildfires “apocalyptic” after fellow actors lost their homes in the raging blazes that have caused a state of emergency in the US city.
TV personality and singer Paris Hilton, When Harry Met Sally star Billy Crystal, The Princess Bride actor Cary Elwes, talk show host Ricki Lake and Oscar-winning songwriter Diane Warren are among those who have confirmed that their residences have been destroyed in the fires.
Thousands of firefighters were attempting to contain the original Palisades fire, with at least 70,000 people forced to evacuate their homes as the metropolitan area became blanketed in a thick cloud of smoke and ash.
Talk's Kevin O'Sullivan says: "We hope everyone stays safe."

What do the fires have to do with voting for politicians? The Santa Anna’s arrive every year to the LA areas. These are especially strong. The firefighters are pumping so much water in the neighborhoods that they have to wait until they refill. The planes can’t fly and gather water. This has absolutely nothing to do with politics and bringing it up is offensive. Newsom can’t stop the winds.

My nephew’s apartment building burnt down yesterday with everything he owned in it. The evacuation order came while he was at work. He couldn’t get home in time to get anything out. Everything he owned is gone except his car.

So I can imagine Sydney, Gold Coast, etc and cannot imagine the devastation My heart goes out to them but I hope we all learn from this. Who cares about the rich stars? Their LA home is only one of several that they own. Many are not even there. They will have full insurance in place and although they may lose a few sentimental mementoes they will have a huge payout for their property and they will just go out and buy another one. It is the ordinary people who have worked hard to achieve a home in this expensive area who have everything in that home and have lost it all and will possibly not have full insurance because it is so expensive. They are now homeless and have lost all their possessions, they have nothing. It is truly terrible for them.

Montecito is 2 hours away, they won’t be touched. It’s getting close to Santa Monica. I live an hour south from all of this. My family lives minutes away and has had to evacuate. We are just hoping their houses are safe. Over 120 children from my sisters school have lost their homes. Everyone knows someone who has lost their home. This is absolutely devastating. Hoping Kinsey is safe ❤

My mums house was burnt by a neighbour who was negligent7 years ago when she was 92 by the grace of God mum was in hospital yesterday my son rang me to say his mate in the fire area lost his house my son said mum I did not know what all I could think was when house was burnt down but his family escaped with their 2 dogs god keep them all safe my poor son has taken it very badely
