Big NO on the wants vs needs for adult gifts! HAHAHA. I can understand that as a kid but as a person that was raised pretty humbly and still doesn’t have money to spare on the WANTS, if someone gave me a $35 detergent that I don’t have to buy myself I WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL 😅😅

I came to KZbin from the podcast to say yes to needs vs wants. I grew up not wealthy so getting gifts of things that I needed to this day hit different than wants. And I do it with my kids and they LOVE a new toothbrush. It’s about being grateful and having a grateful heart when you receive something.

We celebrate Christmas through the epiphany when the three kings arrive (the 12 days of Christmas). Christmas just begins on Christmas Day. You could also try to use advent as a time of waiting for Jesus to arrive - preparing your home, heart and mind. Advent wreath, Jesse tree etc. The secular world has it wrong starting the celebration too early and taking decorations down the day after Christmas. ❤ Merry Christmas and God bless! 🎄

Usually I'm not a last minute shopper but this time I was still doing some shopping on Christmas eve! I am also used to getting and giving useful gifts versus just wants😄And for my family and community, Christmas activities and events usually last through January! I think I have about as many Christmas things planned in January as December! Loved this episode! Hope you had a great Christmas!

He’s right about getting Christmas presents that you need instead of that you want. I’d rather get something that I want. Occasionally, I might need something, but I would also like to want it too.

My kids got character toothbrushes in their stockings and were happy about it. Lol they had a magical Christmas but I also got what they wanted for Christmas. Just not too much of wants but intentional things.

Merry Christmas, happy new year and praise Jesus❤ I pray you guys have a good holiday and healthy baby🙏Thank you so much for this podcast today! I have family members who think Christmas is pagan coming from Saturnalia and laugh when Christians say "keep Christ in Christmas." This festival honors the Roman God Saturn. Its during December and there's decorating, singing, feasts and gift giving like Christmas. Christ means anointed Messiah and mas comes from Latin meaning the celebration of the eucharist. Maybe if Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus they should change the name. I wasn't there back then so I can't prove that they stole the holiday but even if they did I don't have an issue with repurposing a pagan day. They didn't want to take away the joy and celebration but wanted the meaning to be centered around Jesus our Lord. The holiday is not in the Bible but the important event that is celebrated is, the birth of Jesus and thats what we want to remember this day. Also I believe today the issue with holidays is secularism not ancient paganism. At least pagans believe in the divine and Supernatural realm but secularists want to remove religion completely out of everything. It's sad to me that Santa has become the star of the show and not Jesus but at least it still brings people and families together in some way.

Merry Christmas to you and your family! Happy New Year’s too! God bless 💖🎄✝️💞🙏💗 Bible verses about Jesus: “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:1-5 NLT

I think you can focus on the meaning of Christmas and also include “Santa” like you would the tooth fairy. Christians I think get caught up in perfection

Christmas trees come from German Lutheran paradise trees actually, not pagan! 😊

I love yall merry Christmas!! Happy new year and i also see Christmas as gaining the greatest gift Christ which he blesses us with gifts everyday that we don’t deserve and we show our love and appreciation by blessing others especially on his birthday and this day is day the world all gives and put others before themselves and many go to church this day and some get saved and are welcomed home!!!! Also it’s a day to have community with your family and friends so i think if the lord came down he would enjoy cookies and laugh and eat . I also see a way we can incorporate Santa into this is by Explaining to children is by showing the nice list = heaven god sees us every day And blesses us every day with gift of having a house a car a family things we don’t have to be good in order to get he loves even if we mess up and naughty listen even if we mess up Jesus is the only one that could forgive us everyday and help us not just for one day and wait a year Christ is here all the time but if you continue to be naughty that’s where things go south lol hope everyone gets what they want Merry Christmas god bless you all!!!!

So True. We have been celebrating it for years until we got convinced by the Holy Spirit and by diving deeper in the word of God and into history as well. We will not judge anyone who is celebrating but only want to encourage people to dive deeply in the word of God and pray. We celebrate biblical holidays. Not every holiday because we are not Jewish but we celebrate sukkot. Sukkot is so wonderfull. Full of the promisses of God! Be blessed you all! Shalom!

I was also in the mindset it doesn’t matter we’re celebrating Jesus but when you look it it has nothing. I mean I used to love Christmas I mean who didn’t but now that I know I can’t do it. Please look in to it for yourselves
