My first labour was 17 hours and I had tear because the baby was big 3.5 kg. I sat in warm water mixed with Detol and little salt morning afternoon and evening. 3 times a day. then I sat on wooden chair when I want to breastfeed my baby. I wasn't allowed to sit on the bed or any soft surface. This actually helped in the healing process. And I had tear in that particular point for all my 5 children. You are a strong woman and I can see you are getting better. I wish you quick recovery.

Congratulations Marwa and Rocio.🎉 I really empathize with Marwa in this case. I could feel that Marwa wanted to support Rocio all the way. Emotionally, he could not follow through to the end of the birthing process. In that case what can one do but accept. One of the things I have learned is, "Expect not lest he be disappointed." We have to understand, as Rocio has alluded to, that a man has emotion and he should not be expected to express how others think he should..

Rising expectations when unrealised lead to rising frustrations. Rocio you are a blessed, intelligent and objective thinking soul. GOD never gives you more than you can bear. GOD knows your capability according to the power HE placed in you. GIVE THANKS TO GOD, WHO DECREED at the GENESIS OF HUMAN TRANSGRESSION, that IN TRAVAIL WILL A WOMAN GIVE BIRTH!! Birthing makes us recognise DIVINE AUTHORITY and PURPOSE in HIS DOCTRINE OF HUMAN PROCREATION. THAT'S WHAT IT IS, AND FOREVER WILL BE IN THIS WORLD OF TROUBLE. To Marwa, please don't swear using GOD, it's unscriptural. Just say "yes" or "no". Blessings in GOD'S GRACE AND PEACE upon Rocio, baby Maisha and you.

I think this is a great lesson for first time expectant parents. Do more research into the reality of labour pain so you're better prepared to withstand it or to support your partner. Its a gruelling, gory experience. The beauty comes right at the end. Thanks for your honesty here and especially for owning that you were ill-prepared. If Marwa had been better prepared instead of stepping out when the doula came for appointments, I think he'd have known you can't stop the labour pains and he'd have stayed to support.
