Hi, please share your experience regarding safety near your building like all area …. It is safe to rent a accommodation near downtown because I heard there are so many drugist and homeless people roaming and there has been an incident also in Oliver area.

Concerned about a few things: if the city is safe, transit, jobs, healthcare, etc? Relocating with family (mother, partner). How much would be rent (2 br 2wr minimum)? Hi Romi, Thats a lot of questions :) . I will try to answer these but please understand that its just been 7 months since i have been here and i dont have any idea about how things are in Ontario. Yes, i find the transit system good and reliable but defnitely not good as it is in Ontario. You will definitely find this city safer . Weather is harsh, Ontario gets more snow, but Edmonton gets more chills, meaning, for a very long period of time in winters, you will see below -30 temperatures. Jobs are definitely lesser here, comparing with Ontario. But if you have PR or Citizenship then things can be smooth. My wife, on OWP, is looking for a job since last 7 months, still no luck. Never got a chance to Experience Healthcare facilities here, but on the Alberta Health Website, it looks good, Heard people saying that its the same as other provinces. I am living in a Studio Apartment, which is more like a 1BHK tbh, and i am paying 870CAD, but thats very less because i got this deal during winters, currently the same apartment is at 1000CAD. But 2BHKs is downtown will cost you something around 1300-1500CAD, which is wayyyyy less than torronto. Outside downtown you will get it for even lesser. South Edmonton (Millwood, Meadows) is the area where most of the indians live, you may want to consider that, given your mom will also be here.
