Some people in the comments have brought to our attention the fact that we misspoke about the Bosnian War by calling it a "civil war." We just wanted to thank you for clarifying the terminology and want to apologize for having caused any upset. Please know it was not our intention to offend anyone, and we will be more careful to use correct terminology in the future. Thank you all for sharing your perspectives and knowledge with us 🙏❤

No need for apologies, it was the textbook definition of a civil war, first in Yugoslavia then in Bosnia & Hercegovina (locals fighting locals) with outside influence. Some people are just but*hurt and they like to cry too much for nothing..

You guys had nothing to worry about drinking the water from the fountain. It's completely clean & there has never been a case that I heard that someone got sick drinking from it or from any of the mosques in the area that have a water fountain. I might say, Bosnia has one of the most freshest & cleanest water in Europe. Coming from a Bosnian here. Glad you guys had a great time!

Tunnel that you have walked thru used to be a part of railway line from Sarajevo to Belgrade and was terminated back in the seventies (train was very famous locally because it was the cheapest way of transport to Belgrade and the locals had the name "Ćiro" for the train as it used to run on coal). This year they will restore this line but as a bicycle track all the way to nearby town of Pale. You will be able to use for hiking it on your next trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Nonsense, it was a Yugoslav civil war. But regardless of the name of the state, it was a civil war because the Serbs & Croats were locals living inside BiH. Same as Serbs that lived in Coatia. So it is textbooks definition of a civil war.. If your "feelings" are but* hurt, that's your problem..

Of course it was civil war, people were fighting for the same land bec they lived there for centuries. Serbians and Bosniaks both lost lives but the ones starting it all were the American elites. Its important to point out the real enemy people, stop fighting and blaming each other-thats exactly what the West wants you to do

Thank you very much for your visit and beautiful comments. Sorry but I would like to add something. The person who killed Austrian Frsnz Ferdinand is Bosnian Serb who had support from Serbia. They would provoke the Austro-Hungarian Empire to declare war on Serbia. That is when their supportive friend Russia, they hoped, would leap to the defense of Serbia, defeat the Habsburg armies, and help the Bosnian Serbs win their independence
