OUR HONEYMOON IN THE MALDIVES

Yay! I’m so happy you and Billy tied the knot and enjoyed the most beautiful honeymoon! You’re lucky you can bank sick days and use them as you wish. We can’t do that in my province. Teachers should be able to at least use one week of banked sick time for vacation. It’s so important for mental health to be able to rest and recharge whenever we need to like any other professionals. It may even help to reduce sick time/supply teacher expenditure in the long run.

My husband and I went to Maldives for our honeymoon 17 years ago and 13 years later returned (to a different island) with our children. We all love to snorkel 🤿 and this is our dream destination (we are from the UK). Congratulations to you both!

I teach in Virginia. We get three personal days per year and ten sick days. When we get more than five personal days they roll over into sick days which we can bank. When my daughter was born I was able to take six weeks with pay and still have six weeks left over. I love that room. It looks like the most relaxing place on earth.
