Perhaps she’s already aware or maybe not yet but probably/ high chance that as Liz figures out her new life abroad and adapting to new environment , she’s also experiencing culture shock. It will take some years and give one a love-hate relationship to her new country. She’s adapting so well so far compared to many people who experience mixed emotions and even mental health issues. Liz it is just a design, u will get it in Kenya if u like the design. A very small sitting room. No way a washing machine can be found inside the kitchen, maybe along the corridor but mostly next to the toilet here in USA.

Most have washer and dryer outside the kitchen and most have microwave, stove and refrigerator and dishwasher in America

You must remember our houses are smaller. Big houses are pricey and are owned by the wealthy in wealthy areas. Don't look back and compare with Kenya just enjoy what is given.

Yes in Nigeria most houses are built emptyno closet no storage nothing. It's just recently that u see houses with closets n they are very pricey
