Nicki - the only problem I have with your vlogs is that everytime you meet someone in town and decide to have some kind of fabulous/delicious dessert, I end up pausing your vlog so that I can get myself some ice cream or whatever else I have on hand, and eat it. Now, I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing, as I try to cut down on my sugar intake. I'm sure it's just impulse, or an excuse to have something sweet. I am always gratified when watching your videos because I feel like I am right there with you. The HD is phenomenal. The only thing that would enhance the experience is if technology would let us smell all the smells. The salty air, the flowers, the fruits and veggies, food, paint, the chickens, the earth. . It’s all so endearing. I see that gardening is a lot of work too but it gets into your blood. It’s also so wonderful to see people out and about enjoying freedom and sunshine. I think one can thank the host(ess) for the invitation and for preparing food and beverage for you while not saying that you thought the food was good nor even saying you'd love to do it again. You can reciprocate in some other manner, yet still do genuine thanks for what they did offer you. It was done out of a liking and generosity unless they wanted to poison you. Loved the boat trip and going to the shop with the handmade paper. What a great idea for Carlo's father to allow the Sicilian zucchini to grow free going down the wall. What a beautiful spread of foods and you all did rather well at the painting! The potatoes look good. I'm sure you must work feverishly to store, put-up the harvest for use in the winter. Now the harvest we saw is for the whole family that lives 'round about you and not just for you and Carlo, am I right? I ask because you got quite a lot and that's just one week, yes?

I don't know how you do it....but you make me feel like I am right there with you....love your garden, digging potatoes and onions (reminds me of my big garden years ago) drying apricots (I used to dry tomatoes, bananas, zucchini and herbs and what ever else I thought would dry well.)
