As a 30-something with no money and no man, various algorithms pummeled me with ads for egg freezing -- a far-too-expensive solution for my family planning woes.
Don't worry! They said. Having a baby by 35 is a MYTH based on old data!! They insisted. Did you know they got that data from French peasants in the 1600s?? How crazy!
Having gone through IVF o get pregnant at age 34, I believe these reassurances do not take into account how expensive fertility treatments can be. While fertility statistics have improved for women in their thirties, people who want to become parents should be aware that age DOES still matter when you're trying to conceive.
Andrew bravely shares the male side of the process, an often-overlooked part of the "IVF Journeys" I've seen on KZbin.
