What a fun wedding!!! You looked SO beautiful!! I love how your husband looked at you with complete adoration!!! It’s so neat how everyone is so involved in the ceremony. I had a traditional American Christian wedding. Very formal. The only ones talking were the preacher for the service, my husband, and I (when we said our vows). We had someone sing. But the guests are silent until the very end when we kiss. They clapped. In biblical times, wasn’t the engagement period just as serious as the wedding? Like you couldn’t just break up during the engagement, it was like a divorce? Why was the ring put on your index finger? I was surprised that your mother’s hair was not completely covered, nor was you MIL. They both looked so pretty!! ❤ I liked the handkerchief look with your mom’s hair down. Very pretty. Both moms looked so happy about the wedding! May G-d bless y’all with MANY, MANY happy years,….make that DECADES, 😅of marriage!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks so much Karen ❤️❤️ its's really fun to relive this special time for us 💕 Interesting about your wedding, thanks for sharing 🙏 😘 Yes engagement was very serious, which is why it was causing issues (if things went wrong) and better to have both parts together like it is today. I just read that the index finger is used either because this used to be the ring finger or because it is the easiest to show ring to witnesses, there are also more explanations 😊 thanks for your warm wishes, I really feel like we're old friends 😂 💕

@@tamarmeisels4637 awww! That is SO sweet that you feel like we’re old friends!!! Same here! That means a lot to me! It’s funny how you can connect with people through avenues like KZbin and really feel like friends and kindred spirits!! I have found it so interesting that you and I really have a lot of the same religious and political beliefs and similar worldviews! ❤ I always look forward to seeing your videos! Have a great week! ❤❤❤

Is it common to go on a honeymoon? If so, did y’all go anywhere?

In our tradition, we have seven days of festivities, many do go on a "honeymoon" 💓 😀 We went away to a hotel for a night and also went to the US for a few weeks on a "honeymoon" trip ☺️

According to Jewish tradition what does the veil 👰‍♀ woman mean 🤔
@tamarmeisels4637
@tamarmeisels4637 Жыл бұрын
I read that this tradition symbolizes the groom bringing the bride under his wing and care for her, and also for modesty reasons to emphasize inner beauty 😍 I'm sure there are even more explanations. Most Ashkenazi and sefardi communities have this custom, but there are a few sefardi communities that do not have this tradition.

@@tamarmeisels4637 is that also a symbol of se*xual purity or virginity 🤔

@@amicareview More a symbol of modesty. It is however, a custom done only for 1st marriages, widower/ divorced don't do this in their second wedding. This custom is also hinted in the bible with Rebecca covering her face upon meeting Isaac. ☺
