Most of my life I considered Catholics to be idolators and devotion to Mary as something demonic. That changed this year, it was almost like she called to me. I prayed to her for the first time this past August, I found out after the fact that it was her week. This past week I saw a procession of her at the beach where I work, I typically work at a different section 40 mins away but randomly was scheduled to be in that exact area. I would have missed it any other time. On a spur of the moment afterwards I decided to go to my local Catholic Church for the mass very first time, not realizing her feast day was the very next day Yesterday I was planning on going to mass this morning but my schedule didn’t fit. I find this video strange because Russia is the most Christian nation on earth. Christian principles guide secular life in Russia even. The Orthodox bishops decide on matters of governance. It is the most devotional nation on earth aside from Vatican City. St Alexander Nevsky, Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God Monastery. It is a Holy Liturgy during the fast before the great feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God on August 19th. This Holy Liturgy remembers St Mary Magdalene, whose Feast Day was on that day.. Courageous young nuns joined the Monastery when it was a ruin, in 1992, when monastic life was again allowed. Now it is so beautiful, well funded, with around 200 nuns, all devoted to deep prayer, for their country and the whole world, , traditional monastic disciplines such as iconography [the nuns wrote all the icons we see here], translation work, creative sewing an vestment making, singing, and service to the wider community. I am from India and belong to the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. Traditionally, churches in India(Nasranis) became integrated as separate castes in the state of Kerala. We were considered an upper caste with something like of Brahmin status and also gained a monopoly in business and trade. Conversion was difficult because the convert often became caste-conscious after a few years and they dont wnat to convert lower caste people or other castes. By the way, pro zio Evangelical Christianity is spreading like wildfire among low castes.

With regards to Islam we have two wonderful people who are part of our parish they’re not Catholic yet but studying and being catechized and they’re originally from Iran. I’ve talk to them and they said that there is many that want to convert to Christianity and I’m assuming when they say Christianity the referring to Catholicism. Catholicism does have a foothold in the country. I am unaware at the present time the number of converts if I can call them that, but they did say that the country is still very unstable. Maybe once this happens, I would like to go myself with them to see that country reading quite a bit about it in the past, but please pray for these people. And yes, I do see one thing in particular between Israel and the Islamic countries they taunt one another, and then it breaks out into a war as we have already seen between Israel and Palestine and it’s the Christians and some of the Palestinians, who are not Christian are suffering. If you had reviewed the opening of the cathedral in Paris, France lately it was shocking it looked like the opening of the Olympics. Psalm 71 is NOT a Messianic Psalm. It is a prayer for "help in old age". There is no Psalm whatsoever that says "till the moon be taken away". Isaiah 24 mentions a time when the both the sun and moon will be temporarily suppressed when Jesus Christ returns to judge wickedness on the earth and set up his kingdom to rule the earth from Jerusalem. Not impressed with the explanation. So what if one of the daughters says it would be "orthodoxy" they'd convert to? The full message also says the *Holy Father* would have much to suffer. Our Lady meant the Pope. Sister Lucia directly refers to *Rome* (not the "third Rome"). The Russian Orthodox are in schism. So that puts to lie the lies of that "orthodox" priest. It just be better from an orthodox perspective to simply deny the Prophecy is even real like Jay Dyer does since really it obiviously shows the Greek Schism isn't the true faith. Also, Russians are very lukewarm over all in their supposed conversion. It's just religiosity was loosed with the fall of the Soviet Union. Of course Christianity would return. The Orthodox do not accept the Pope as the earthly head of the Church. There is also the issue of the Trinity. Catholics proclaim that the Holy Spirit procedes from the Father AND Son. Orthodox proclaim the Holy Spirit procedes from the Father, as it was originally in the Symbol of the Faith, the church constitution. In other words the Catholic Church changed and became Schismatic. The position of the Orthodox churches of the Middle East and Eastern Europe is that they were never "under" the papacy. The Orthodox see the Latin rite as a valid, ancient form of worship and organization, especially if it abandons its claim of universal sovereignty.

Dear Kennedy. You've got all that very wrong! Many think wrongly that the orthodox believe in the same God as we Catholics do. But no. Conversion of the orthodox means actually to believe in the true only God! Thereafter believing in the only one true religion. That´s it.
