Nowhere in the Bible does it state Mary ascended into heaven, to say she has ascended already would be an assumption. I use the King James Bible and cross reference it with a Strongs Concordance to get the original Hebrew and Greek translations of the words. It hasn't failed me yet in hours of study to be accurate. Precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little and there a little. I do not present these statements with any ignorance. I indeed protest the false pagan filled Catholic faith. You are talking about heresy - iconoclasm. Images are good if it helps us to adore God, if reminds about God's love and ,of course,if we don't think that image, sculpture is a god. God is glorified in His saints. Banning all images is typical for Jewish mentality - Jesus is the image of God, so we are not like Jews who couldn't see God in the Old Testament. Besides, God the Father wanted to have a cherubs on the Ark of the Covenant and images in the Salomon's temple. God can't stand pogan images, adoring material things, but catholic and orthodox icons or sculptures indicate God and His works, grace, they are used to worship God and to venerate His saints, because a grace of God works in saints.

We catholics dont worship mother Mary.. nor give her the position which only belongs to God...But we imensly honor her and trust her as our own heavenly mother for her being obediant to God with her full heart and might...As a matter a of fact i want to ask you can you forget your own mother when she was departed from earth...or will you throw all of her photoes and belongings once she died and no more with you..we never do such things right???? So our heavenly mother is far more higher and greater than our own bioligical mothers....Even Jesus tells that who ever does the will of God the Father , become his mothers , brothers and sisters in heaven..so on that perspect any way we believers become one family in heaven and on earth...Because mother Mary is the utmost example for the obediance to the Holy Will...So she is our mother too... I guess that contradicts your passage from James that you took out of context. Bible says to test EVERY spirit.
