Our last moments with our son

This is what infant loss looks like. We or not ashamed to share our journey.
Jameson Thomas Swift was born sleeping on March 4th 2018 at 10:15pm weighing 8 lbs 7 ounces and measuring 22 inches long. We found that Jameson’s heart had stopped beating on March 3rd due to a true knot in his umbilical cord and the cord being wrapped around his neck multiple times. We got 15 beautiful hours with him before getting discharged from the hospital. These were our last moments before saying goodbye to our son forever.

My ex- wife and I lost a son in almost the same way, in December of 1967. After 53 years, I still feel the pain and sense of loss, especially in December. I wonder what he would have been like as a child, as a young man, and as a mature adult. Tonight, as I watched this emotional video, tears running down my cheeks, I relived those heartbreaking words that the doctor uttered, once again. Those who have not experienced this painful loss will never understand why, at age 77, this father is still sorrowing for his son. My deepest empathetic feelings are extended to both of you.

The death of a baby is a blessing that has entered the family. More like peace. When you lose a baby you have let peace and happiness into your home. This family they should be blessed. 4 years later and I hope you guys are doing better. This is the worst thing a parent can go through, and that wound may never completely heal. Remember how much you love each other and it’ll get you through it every day. If you do have a future pregnancy or if you already have, I pray it goes smoothly and you bring another beautiful baby into the world. It was truly bittersweet watching how much you supported and loved eachother even when you both felt like breaking.

Wow as a dad to a 2 year old little girl my heart has broken for them. I could never imagine the pain they must feel in this moment. They filled his life however short, with love and the care of a family. They are wonderful parents and they guided him back to the place where he can play and be free from this world of pain forever. Losing a child is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. My wife and me lost our most precious beautiful baby boy to Spinal Muscular Atrophy exactly a month ago on 20th Sept, 2021...It was his half birthday and we had planned for celebrations in the evening but he left us early morning that day...He was with us for exactly 6 months...... I have come to realize that this wound will never heal....NEVER...not until we die...I don't know what karmic balance we had, to go through this..Why does some people have to go through so much in their life..why! Its not fair..I just wana send out hugs and positivity to all those who are feeling helpless and going through hardships...We just have to keep our loved ones in our heart and do as much good things as possible..Peace, Love and strength to ALL!

When people say “They’re in a better place....” that may be so but there’s nothing wrong with feeling and saying “No, the better place is here with me”. With those that don’t understand that, it can appear to be selfish but in actuality it’s an overwhelming feeling of love.
