Our last ride together. Saying goodbye to the Street Glide. Once again, I am beyond humbled for the opportunity to borrow this gorgeous motorcycle from H-D. While we may not have crushed many miles together, I truly feel like I got to know this bike, and the things I want in a bagger as a motorcyclist.

I have a 2017 Pearl White Street Glide I rode for 3 weeks on a east to west and back trip. I loved every minute of it and I'm n love with it. I added a chopped tour pack and moved it forward. I'm a solo rider so now I can use it as a back rest. The stock seat was removed and replaced with a solo seat from Harley-Davidson It's the most comfortable seat I've ever ridden on. If I could add a picture of it I would. It's a beautiful bike! I enjoy your motovlogs. Rick

One of the things I love about riding a bagger is being able to have fun riding slow and not having to feel like I need to be riding with my hair on fire to have a great time. When I rode sport bikes going slow was boring for me. May be just the change in my age tough too. The Street Glide is throttle by wire so your comments were a little confusing for me as you said your not a fan but that the Street Glide's throttle response was so good. I would actually like to have rain mode on my "17 Road glide as there have been many times I have unintentionally broken the tire loose on wet roads with these bikes having so much torque at the crack of the throttle. I see that as a good safety feature. I Enjoy your video's, stay safe.

Again, I say its great that Harley is finally embracing vloggers like Jess that are simply beautiful people. Not some contrived movie or TV performers. They are reaching out and touching folks in a new way and apparently are listening. Congrats Jess! You're giving their boardroom a real impact and I hope it will lead to better bikes and better sells for HD.

That billiard ball red is stunning and combined with the chrome it's just breathtaking. My last HD was gloss black with chrome drag bars, exhaust, and other small bits. Also, I had a fair amount of polished Billett aluminum. Every time I looked at the bike I had to smile.

It seems your heart is set on a road glide. Find a way and you will forever be happy. If you get a removable tour pack and sissybar you can switch back and forth easily. I love having the tour pack as quick trips to the store allows you to put groceries in the tour pack and go. My current ride is a 2000 CVO road glide and it has a chopped tour pack. I’m thinking of getting a full size as I’m not fond of the chopped one.

I love you test ride videos mainly because you don’t spout annoying numbers and facts, you describe feelings and on a Harley-Davidson that’s all that matters. Also, so few motovloggers now are Harley enthusiasts it’s nice to see our favorite motovlogger (you) who happens to BE a Harley fan, riding more Harley products. You are an entertainer Jessica, and it’s always going to be entertaining to watch you gain more knowledge about different types of rides or bikes or distances on your journey of being a motorcyclist 😃. I think you should get a road glide to experience the thrill of being able to crush trans continental travel because it’s honestly your next step as a rider, and your channel fans would love and encourage you to do so. I mean if we all pitched in one dollar each we could outright buy you that bike lol! Try it! I’ll toss ya a few bucks! I’m sure others will 🏍

Hey Jess, going back and watching all your videos in order. Just wanted to let you know Harley touring bikes have had electronic throttles standard since 2008 and 2009. The big thing I like about the mag wheels besides the look is that they are easily plugged when you have a flat. If you have spoked wheels then you have to take the tire off and break it down to patch the tube and thats terrible when your out on the road in the middle of no where. Thank you for allowing me to share.

Yes on more test rides.! Regarding upgrading the seat... Maybe test ride some bikes with an adjustable backrest. My backrest is a game changer for me. Especially when I can put my boots up on the highway pegs and lean a bit against the backrest. Ergonomics rule no matter what bike you eventually buy. It has to be right for you..! Hopefully you can test ride bikes with a few different handlebar styles.

Hi Jess, I've been trying to decide what my first bike is going to be for awhile now. I got my motorcycle license in 2015 and haven't been able to throw a leg over another bike since due to many factors. I would say if you loved the Street Glide and you enjoyed the ride of the Street Glide, I would say that you should go for it and buy the Street Glide and add it to your garage next to your Dyna.

I love the red Street Glide and from your camera position, it appears that you see more of the road with it than the big stationary fairing of a Road Glide when you rode the blue one. The road was not visible through the sharknose. You can put a sissy bar on either one, with a luggage rack, which would solve the storage issue. Of course I completely understand the subjective feel of what each rider wants to ride and personal preference. I chose a Heritage Classic 114 c.i. and when I first got it, there was a lag in the throttle response, but when I had slip on mufflers installed and a tuner installed that lag disappeared completely and she has amazing throttle response. Just sharing my personal experience. Ride what you love and love what you ride, and I absolutely love my Heritage Classic!!! Keep up the great videos!!! By the way, that red just absolutely suits you with your red helmet! Peace and ride safe!!! Oh, and I agree with you about the mirrors!! My Heritage has mini apes and I agree with you about the bars. I am 5' 8" and the mini apes make a difference.

That is a beautiful looking bike. But I still prefer the Road Glide. Nice looking countryside and some really nice looking homes. It's nice when you get to see the wildlife. Unless you see them up close. We get deer, moose and bears up here so it pays to be extra careful. Especially at twilight. A bagger would certainly suite your needs. If you are getting (when you get), a Road Glide and don't get the tour pack, you miss out on a lot of storage space. Thanks for the video.

Hi Jess, like Ian said, kinda sounded like a review at the end there😉! I myself am 62 and currently ride a 07 1200 Sportster Custom. I put Roadking saddlebags, floorboards, crashbar, highway bars, and an aftermarket fairing w/sound, mag wheels and last but not least, a sissy bar. I got this Harley after 5 years of dialysis and a kidney transplant. I wasn't sure if I would be riding much and didn't have lots of money at the time (after 5 years of not working) plus I got a Great deal on the Sportster. The one thing that it does NOT have is cruise control, which is a must for long distances, which I know that you will agree. Long story short, get a Bagger for your road trips. Your not getting any younger😃😃😃

Love your channel, and the content you create for it. The street glide is definitely a sleek looking bike. And one I would love to at least test ride someday. I did get to test ride an old late 90s sportster , and riding my old 85 750 virago 8 years ago before I sold it( couldn't afford the insurance back then as I was only going to be a beginner rider and 22 at the time). Who knows maybe one day I'll get my motorcycle cycle license and do some real riding someday.

That street glide is so nice,I have owned both street glide and road glide and the street glide definitely gives better wind and rain protection over the road glide, plus they just look so damn cool, once you are over walking speed the weight of the front end is same same, and street glide just has everything closer to you for ease of controls whilst riding, just one man's opinion and it would be boring if everyone had the same tastes, but just thought I'd give U my honest opinion from owning both, hope it helps you,and totally agree with you about the sissy bar,not only will your passenger love you for it they are a must have for carrying extra luggage,I always slip my bag on to it so it sits on the passenger seat and use it as a backrest on the longer rides,so comfortable. I love your comments on keyboard warriors lol,yep you are riding and you know what ya doing, love ya channel dudette

Speaking as someone who is a good driver and a wretched passenger, your riding style with the waving hands and the wagging head with the camera is nothing to worry about. I've seen worse. FAR worse, thank you very much. I'm not a wrathful man, but I've announced, "We all think your tires should be slashed!" to some flexing moron in downtown Denver. People laughed, they cried, they nodded agreement and thanked me for scolding this child in a supermarket. Not a proud moment... but satisfying. Your riding style is smooth. Truly the mark of a refined rider. The elephant in the room has to be the Scrambler. You're not riding it. There's not much sign you're going to ride it. You don't gush about it the way you do when the subject of baggers comes up. I see an opportunity here: make the Triumph a brambler. Bag it up, kit it out, make it modular so it crushes miles under load, sheds the weight, and goes up a fire road. Neither ADV, nor Scrambler, or a bagger. Just a heavy lifter pickup with ambitions of luxury. Over hill, over dale, through the brambles, and upright the whole time.

Yes you need a bagger in the Garage. You were talking about different seat if you get a bagger. Take a look at a saddlemen dominator when the time comes. It is narrower and it's a solo seat which gives a bike nice look. You can get a passenger set which can attach in a minute or two. Have fun dreaming about a new bike.

I liked it. Both the review and the bikes. On my opinion you are better seared on tje street version. The road is a bit bulkier,so you will need to do some mods. Like pullback handlebarzzz? I 've had the opportunity to try both bikes and still cannot pick a favourite. Time will tell and your vids too. Good luck with the new horsie

Go for a big red bagger. I feel the same about mag wheels. I change my own tires and hate dealing with a tube. Changed my Trike to a mag wheel. ❤️ Proudtexson

Between this and the Road Glide I prefer the look of the Street Glide, but I think the Road Glide is more practical. I also prefer cast wheels over spokes and I have spokes on my bike. I almost didn't buy it just because of the spoke wheels. I like white bikes, but this red is beautiful. I'm still up in the air over those mirrors over the standard ones. I would never put t-bars on anything. Personally I think they are ugly. I love the look of chrome, but I just hate the work involved in keeping it looking good. If I were looking for a new Harley bagger I would actually lean towards the Road King myself. I don't need any of the electronics, radio, or GPS and I love being able to take off the windshield if I want to. Good luck with whatever you end up buying and do what makes you happy and enjoy it.

Yep. Time for a Harley bagger. I'd rather see a Road King, but that's just me. You do you. Keep up the great work.

I love the look of the street glide… but felt more comfortable on a Heritage so I got that. Maybe the next bike will be a SG. Regarding the mirrors on the SG… they are horrible! I see a lot them removed and handle bar mount regular mirrors put on instead.

I'm with you on less electronics is better. ABS and depending on the bike TC. I never touch my ride modes. BTW when you use the backwards facing camera I can look at your eyes and tell they are focused on the road even while you are talking or gesturing. I can't say the same when you see a puppy though:)

Great video Jess. As for if a bagger would be a good option for you, You already know the answer to that question….lol Just find the one that calls to you and buy that Roadglide special in chrome!

If you get a bagger you won't ride the other bikes that has been my experience. Bought my first bike it was a cruiser then a couple years later got a sport bike and ignored the cruiser for the most part. Then got some other bikes. Now I have a Triumph Bobber and it is the perfect bike for a short person 5'3 it has mad power 1200cc and I don't feel like I am in danger of losing my balance (I'm older) than you are :) I would also say a sissybar would look strange on a bagger so maybe something more like a trunk with a rack on top to strat things to would look less out of place. You do what you want cuz you can :) I also love chrome because as a young person I worked in the chrome plating industry and was part of the restoration process of many antique cars and motorcycles so the more chrome the better.

Get the Street Glide! They handle better than the Road Glide. The heavier steering that you feel with the Bat Wing Fairing is only in your mind, IMO. Motor Cops do not ride Road Glides cause the Bat Wing handles better!

That is a ridiculous statement.. from someone who obviously has never rode a RG .. as far as officers I know 3 that ride a RG for there personal ride.. the RG IS The best handling bike hd makes they'll tell you that themselves.. name one sport bike that's built for speed over 150 mph and high performance handling that has the fairing attached to the handle bars .. just one !!! Other then the facts you can't go wrong with either bike .. I've rode both for many years .. RG will know be the only bike a saddle up on

That's why I said "IMO". I have never seen or heard of Police on a RG, they are on HDs with Bat Wing or RK Fairings. When on their personal bike, regardless of brand or fairing, they are not "Motor Officers"...

I think with the long trips you take you really benefit from a touring bike. I think John Maxwell done video putting T Bars on SG, but not sure completely. I think be cool to see some long term demos and get your feelings on the different bikes.

our friend Sue who migrated up from a sposter to a FXR to a street glide with air ride due to the fact she's 5'3' an tours all over the our country mostly alone. so if a bagger is in your future go for it.

Harley has been made in other countries for decades only for those markets. All of the US bikes are built in the US with parts from all over the world.
I just have a lot of feelings...
