Actual Table at the end: Bolton just missed out on automatic promotion with Derby taking over them. Blackpool are midtable. Barnsley are midtable playoffs. Bristol Rovers are lower end, but comfortably away from relegation. Burton Albion just avoid relegation. Cambridge are midtable, in bottom half. Carlisle are last place. Charlton are midtable. Cheltenham barely avoid being saved from relegation. Derby in second (they jumped Bolton). Exeter City midtable. Fleetwood are relegated, behind Cheltenham. Leyton Orient are midtable. Lincoln just miss out on playoffs. Northampton are midtable. Oxford barely make playoffs. Peterborough are in playoffs. Port Vale second to last. Portsmouth top of the league. Reading are midtable. Shrewsbury avoid relegation, but aren't that far ahead. Stevenage upper midtable. Wigan midtable. Wycombe midtable.

Derby 2nd, you got that one correct. 27,000 average & last 3 home games over 30,000 is unreal. Had to get out of league 1 & did so along with Portsmouth, struggle for Bolton in playoffs, so good luck with that one seeing it’s a lottery.

Thanks guys for the opinions that Pompey should go up. We have bought well over the summer and so long as they gel we have players all over the park who can score. You're right when you said the amount of draws we had killed our promotion aspirations. Thogdad rocking the retro (1980?) Trotters shirt. Super Matty Taylor was wicked at Pompey too. His goal from the halfway line v Everton was epic. I hope he gets on well managing clubs.

hey Theo, honestly as a Cov City fan i'm so glad u put Bolton top and winning the league as earlier today me and my friend, had a debate about like managers and we talked about who would be sacked 1st in the championship. he mentioned Watford, with their history that is, and i said Bristol City (Bristol City fans please don't attack me i just have that feeling) and he mentioned Ian Evatt (sorry if that is spelt wrong) to go to Bristol City. (At this point i'm waffling, sorry) i told him that speaking honestly and truthfully i believe and i feel that Ian Evatt is like Mark Robins with signings and knowing where the bargains are and also i believe that he (Evatt) will do what Mark Robins is gonna do with us and get us promoted to the premier league. I believe that Ian Evatt will do that with Bolton and join Mark Robins in getting the same team promoted from league Two to the Premier League as i believe that Evatt is the right man to take u forwards and he will be the one to take u all the way back to where a team like Bolton belong. i believe it'll take 9 years with Evatt at Bolton for u guys to be in the top division (Premier League) and I believe in what Evatt is doing. But, Theo please promise me u won't turn on Evatt or even ask for the sack as i see him being the one bringing u the whole way like i said, even if it takes a long while and it feels like a long season with ur 1st championship season being tight and gruelling just trying to stay up. Barnsley will win the league, if not come very close. They are so highly being underrated and though lost decent players and there manager but brought in some decent replacements and I like the look of this new manager. I don’t see a substantial threat to them for the title apart from possibly Derby. Bolton are being slightly overrated, good team ofcourse but I don’t see how there team has improved to push them further than last season and will have a comfortable playoff finish. As I Cambridge fan I’m gonna be biased ofcourse but seeing what happened on the first day we have a great team balance with experience and quality which reflects on our summer signings, Janneh is about to put half the leagues team on toast and Ahadme is going to allow us to play like we did in the 21/22 season when we used Ironside as a target man and had wingers to knock the ball into, the difference being Ahadme is much faster and more agile then Ironside who really struggled last season

i think the fact that Northampton only missed out on promotion the season prior because of Scunthorpe fielding a team of teenagers on the final day, that Northampton have a stronger team than the team that would have played in League 1 if they got promoted that season. So i think they will survive just at 19th place
