What a lovely town! I love the old half-timber buildings and the beautiful ironwork that seemed to decorate the entire town. After two years sheltering at home, I am developing a serious case of wanderlust. Your village tour vlogs are settling me down a bit, but I am still dreaming and making lists of places to visit sometime soon.

It is Kimberly! I hope you get to visit the places you add to your list. If we had the money Duncan would retire and we would be travelling everywhere! 😍💖

What an interesting shop - a mix of modern and vintage offerings. I love the older part of town. The narrow stone streets and buildings, timbered houses have so much character, with all the ironwork and Juliette balconies! I have a thing about thresholds and doors too! Are all the churches in towns that huge? Many look more like cathedrals than ordinary churches! Beautiful park-like settings! So pretty and peaceful - what a nice place to casually stroll and take in the views! I can't believe how many of the trees have leaves! Winter (I'm guessing this was filmed in February) is certainly different in France! I know when I get to France, I am not going to pass a single Creperie without getting something to eat. It is what I remember and miss the most - and I haven't been to France in more than 40 years. The mural is stunning!!! Thanks Jan! I loved this video!

Hi Renée 🥰 They do seem to have a lot of large churches. We loved the park/garden, it looked like it might have been recently added or recently landscaped - beautiful! Yes it was filmed end of Feb / beg March. Glad you enjoyed it ❤️

Love the tour of Fougeres, as you know our house is a matter of a few kilometres from there and have got to know it well over the years. There is a lovely walk from the chateau along the river, past some allotment gardens into a park, owing out opposite the car park where they hold the fair for the festival d'angevines. Also there is an interesting walk around the town if you follow the 'shoe' symbols that are on the pavements.

I'm really grateful that you film so many lovely sights for others. And your filming is relatively stable, bless you! So many people swing their cameras around and the views are not only out of focus but they make us seasick! I don't know how you have learned to walk so smoothly, but I really enjoy seeing places I'll never go in person.

Hi Lisa! Practice practice practice! I still do forget sometimes, especially when there is a lot to see😳 I know what you mean though, a couple of people I watch purposely move quickly and I have to skip past those bits. Thanks for watching ❤️
