😂 I think having boys helps! After a while you just learn to go with the flow and in my experience, I'm always glad I took my boys out instead of keeping them home ❤ getting out the door is the hardest part!

My Husband and I will be in Homer Aug 10-12th before heading over to Kachemak wilderness lodge by boat. You gave me some more places to visit. We planned our 30th wedding anniversary to Alaska because of your adventures! Wow! What an amazing video. Homer looks like amazing place to visit. The scenery from the ferry ride was stunning. Makes me want to rent an RV and drive from Oregon to Alaska. 😊 i think I would need a passport to drive through Canada though! Thank you for taking us along on your journey, Lauren. Years ago we had planned to go glamping on the Homer spit and do some serious fishing with family from AK. Life changed and it never happened. It is good you all adapt to changes in plans so well. What a bummer to get to Homer and not be able to get on the ferry you had planned on. Glad you could at least find several nice things to do all day while waiting, it would have been terrible to be in the middle of nowhere and wait that long. We take the ferry at least 10 times every summer and have NEVER needed to book. If it is a holiday, book ahead!! Thanks for watching!

Sometimes enexpected things that come up during travel can create beautiful other moments that you wouldn't have otherwise. The food looked really good and what a cool spot !! Miss Violet is so very precious !! I loved the xylophone music you picked for that segment of the video !! I would love to take my family to see some of the gorgeous views you've shown us over the years. So much to see and so much to do in Alaska !! This is like when I go to visit my daughter, son in law and grandsons in Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides From leaving my house it's a 5 hour drive then 2hr and 40min ferry and 25 mins drive on other side Long day each way but Oh so worth it 🥰
