Well done to you both , I absolutely love travelling with my family , daddy works overseas so we travel to each other every 8 weeks or so so I am usually travelling with 3 all by myself , and I’d certainly be a rich woman if I got a £1 for every time somebody says , your brave !! That’s my worst nightmare etc .. We love it and enjoy it. The key is preparation , patience and plenty of time x

We went to LA in October last year. My older 2 (13 and 11 at the time) hadn't flown since they were 2.5 & 15mths old. My younger two (8 & 6) had never flown before - so we were taking a risk with LA being their first flight (and the youngest & eldest have ASD). We went to Florida for Easter and again, much prefer the longer haul flight!

Just did a long haul solo with my three kids from NZ to LA. Great tips! If at all possible, book your flight as close to bedtime as possible to keep them in sync with the time change. Side note...some airlines won't allow the inflatable footrests. It's a fantastic idea!
