Our MAGICAL Trip to Sylva, NC! FUN Day Trip from Asheville, NC

It's Day 5 of Vlogmas! We'll post a video each day through Christmas! Today, we visit downtown Sylva, NC for day trip from our home in Hendersonville, NC. We got hot drinks at City Lights Cafe, visited some great shops including Black Balsam Outdoors and Snake Song Farm/Coop/Plant Sanctuary, and had lunch at Pie Times Pizza Company. Jackson County Public Library/Courthouse was quite a sight! And we'd love to come back to visit the Friends of the Library Used Book Store and Harry Alter Books Used and Rare book store!
This is our life in the mountains, in Hendersonville, NC (near Asheville, NC, Brevard, NC, and Greenville, SC) in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Come hang out with us as we kick off the Holiday Season!

Great video! My wife and I have a 2nd home in Sylva and we love it there. Plenty to do there but also a great starting point for day trips. It's literally a perfect location for almost any activity you want in WNC. We joke that it's 30 minutes to everywhere, Bryson City, Waynesville, Cherokee, Franklin, Maggie Valley and most importantly the Great Smoky Mountain National Park are all 30 to 40 minutes away.

Just watched your video on Sylva. The pizza looked delicious. It can be quiet at this time of the year and especially on Sundays. Sylva is a cute, small town to visit in a great area. They are actually having a Christmas festival with fireworks on Friday. In the summer they have a music series on the weekend by the river. We almost went yesterday but ended up in Waynesville longer than anticipated. Love watching your videos ❤ Don't know if you've ever been to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge TN but it's not much farther and it's lots of fun. Cherokee is another place. -Becky

Just past Sylva, is Franklin. Another cute little town with some good bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Also a really nice bookstore.
