Wow! She looks wonderful! I've been an Arabian enthusiast and owner for more than 60 years and she is truly a lovely horse. Her head is what Arabian people would call classic.. It's so nice that she now has other horses around her and hopefully will be able to be turned out with them. Thank you for taking such good care of her.

The only way we can get our older horse to eat forage in the winter instead of hay is to take senior pellets that are soaked and mix them with the forage. It has to be enough of the very tasty senior to overcome the “nasty” forage. Good luck getting her to eat the forage of whatever type. Too bad you can’t get her on grass, that is really what our senior horse prefers.

It's pretty normal for them to have trouble with hay at that age. My beloved old TB mare lived to nearly 35, I had her for 30 years. In the last 5 or so years she could no longer chew hay properly (she did have regular teeth work), she still grazed but I fed her a LOT of hard feed to keep her in good condition.I'm so glad Whinny came to you, the oldies still have so much life to live ❤

Im so glad she's gaining weight. I can't believe she is 32 years old she doesn't look it. Have you thought about purchasing these bug's that you release in your pastures that eat fly egg's, larvae. I don't know the name of these bug's but apparently they do a great job at reducing flyes.

I have a pony that is estimated to be around 40 years old. She doesn't eat hay because she doesn't have the teeth for it anymore. ( She's spit out a couple.) She'll colic with hay, so she eats senior pellets.

Strangely, I saw the first video of Whinny’s rescue just a few hours ago, I went to your page to see if there was an update on her, but there wasn’t one.
