You can leave the parsley root in the ground. Just cut the leaves off. It will continue growing year after year.

Really good harvest this year! I’m not sure people do that in Latvia or Greece but we pickle carrots too, you sure have extras🙂 If you could Despina, more goaties☺️ I tried to see if you still have the two little ones but they must’ve grown up by now and I can’t tell them apart anymore. And the two boys in the “mobile home”, their fans miss them goats😻

Little carrots can be scrubbed, grated or ground, dehydrated and used in soups, carrot cake and cookies or re-hydrated for salads.

Great harvest Dessy. The goats got lots of tasty treats. I never knew beans dried on the vine, I always picked them an ate fresh. Must be different varieties of beans. ❤

You really did have an awesome harvest this year. Maybe some Giardiniera with those carrots. I'm looking forward to the tour of the cellar and the complete harvest.

That’s an amazing harvest for this year. As far as the carrots go, you can always throw them in a compost pile. Have you considere doing a raised bed harden. That would be easy to maintain and help keep out the critters.
@saundrasimko253913 күн бұрын
You can also pickle and can carrots

@mariannesvensson366011 күн бұрын
If you cut two long strips of toilet paper you can put carrot seeds evenly on one. The lay the other strip over it and seal with a drop/fingerprint of water on every seed. In sow time just roll out the strips into the soil and you will not get so many or different sized carrots.

I think your goats are asking; "When can we get into your garden to browse on the leftover goodies and fertilize for next year? Can we go NoW??? - Pleeze Queen Goatie Momma !?! 😆 HOW ABOUT CARROT TOPS? You Hoppity Goaties ♥ ✅

In Sarasota Florida at Wal-Mart farm fresh, cage free, pasture raised eggs are 47 cents each... Red cabbage is over 3 dollars a head... Carrots are around 1 dollar a pound... Parsley about 1 dollar a bunch... It's 2 dollars for a "handfull" of basil... Around 2$ for a head of lettuce... That pesto you made would be at LEAST 2.50-3 dollars a jar... And the cheapest goat food I found (2 minute search) was 20 dollars for 40 pounds. Also gas is $3.13 gallon.

Small carrots taste nicer than big ones. Here in Australia, baby carrots cost more than the big carrots. Very bigs carrots are sold as juicing carrots. lol funny weird and rude carrots.
@irislozinsky396013 күн бұрын
You certainly grew enough carrots!! Enough for the whole neighborhood!! Freeze some ,pickle some and grow less next year, less workforce next year

That little animal if it has a short tail looks like a mouse is a vole, shrew are nasty little monsters they ruin a lot of plants in gardens. Yeah if cats eat them their blood is poisons. Luckily most cats don't eat them just play with them until they die. Love the harvest maybe you planted to many carrots. But like David said maybe can cook them and see if the goats would eat them that way.
