I've been working remotely since covid started and also have the added responsibility of taking care of my elderly mom who needs a lot of assistance. This limits the times I can leave the house. Your videos allow me to live vicariously through your renovations and enjoy the beautiful sights of the Italian mountains.

I did the same since just before lockdown, but I had two parents at home in different stages of dementia. Last year we decided to move them to assisted living as they needed more care than I could give, even after leaving my job and caring for them full time. KZbin has been my salvation during this entire time. You are not alone. I recommend checking for resources online for respite care, support services, and possibly hospice services (not just for the last days, but for comfort care). You don’t have to go it all alone.

We are retiring in Italy, but we are looking for a home that we can just move into because we are old. We can do some things by ourselves, but yours was an undertaking like none other that I have ever seen or can fathom. To look out on that view every day, though…while living in that absolutely stunning home!…I’m so very happy for all of you!! We hope to move to Italy in two years, and my granddaughter who is now 13 will join us every few months, for a few months,while her mother is underwater in a submarine with the US Navy. I’m always amazed on how far you folks have come! Within a few more months you should have a livable space that only needs to finishing touches. BRILLIANT video, Heather! When I discovered your channel, Alesso (?) and Carlo were onsite and traing brady to be a master stone mason. It was amazing to see you (Heather) and the girls working so hard on the house at the beginning. Wow! I had no idea. A lot changed when the workmen got onsite. Watching your girls work reminded me of when our dad let my sister and I work on our house build in Florida in the 70s. Brady really trusts your girls! Brady jumped right in with the hand hewn lintels early on! I cant believe how hard that man works and how game he is to try and learn ANYTHING.
