Our New Audi RS3 is HOME for the First Time! | SHMUSEUM VLOG 37

After collecting our new team car for ‪@TheShmuseum‬ in Germany, we've been down to Italy, and now in Switzerland ready for a long journey to get it home for the first time! This means a huge 1,100km leg for‪@Shmee150‬ and Brad back to London.
Having already covered 1,800km in the new team car, the day starts in the snowy mountains of Switzerland with a checkpoint ahead and decisions to be made how far we're going in the one day. The RS3 is a long term loan car from Audi and thankfully is already fitted with winter tyres for the occasion, and certainly came in useful in this weather.
Along the way we decide to b-line back to the garage and that means the full journey through France, across the Eurotunnel, and ultimately back to the Shmuseum.

If you ask yourself, wether the fuel cap is left or right: there is often an arrow near the fuel sign on the dash, indicating the correct side ✌️

I love this new RS3. Crazy to think it outputs nearly as much power as the V8 E90 M3 and 100NM more torque from a car with 3 less cylinders and in a car that's the size of an E46 M3. A very good and crazy car and with that much power in such a small package, it's a good thing to have the Quattro system to send all that power to the wheels. I'd have this and an M3 as my two sedans.

What an amazing car, will be cool to see the Audi RS3 vs LOTUS Emira. This is my dream car since the old versions. For the RS3 I prefer the Sportback, but yeah sadly I don't have the funds... In France, adding to the price of the car: the eco. tax for the RS3 is €18k in 2021, and will be €22k in 2022 like what! Congratulations!

Great video as always guys. Love the sound of a 5 pot. I think there should be a Land Rover defender td5 in the garage just for a bit of fun and practicality. They sound very like the rs3 with slight modification!

To get a good sound and performance, you need to cycle through the Drive Select to get to Dynamic mode after you start the engine, regardless of what setting you had before you start the engine. For safety reason, Audi makes the car always start in normal mode until you cycle through.

I just watched the RS3 murder an AMG A45, M2 & Cayman GTS in a standing quarter. I wasn't sure at first but the saloon looks even better than the fastback, especially in the blue

@@Jessikitty2020 Yeh, I realise that, but I don't see the problem with hatchbacks & why they don't sell in the US.? I never thought about it & when you said America only has the sedan, I assumed you just hating hatchbacks. but realized it's true - There must be reason, Usually US made large comfortable V8's & Europe light weight sharp handling cars & there's obvious reasons why. With cars like RS3 the sedan & hatch about same size so it's less obvious. I accept you dislike hatch but everyone has different taste whether in US or Europe, maybe just tradition? Do the US buy RS4/6 sedan more than the larger Avant which sells in Europe? Also is the VW golf available in US. So yes I prefer the sedan but like some hatches ie the AMG A45 - Sorry so long answer 😴😃

The US has the thing in the handles of the fuel pumps, then has an auto shut off when it senses a full tank.

Can be done in the UK as the pumps will auto shut off, but not fitted, you will see a small catch on pumps for trucks but not cars.

The thing about this car, and Gtis , is that the looks of the cars are like 911s. Evolution of the style, not revolution. I’m not complaining. Yes this is very different than my 2020 S3, but it’s still very similar. I’m getting turbo blue if they offer it in the USA.

The UK badge is a requirement for driving in Europe but can be removed when in England

I think the RS3 is a really neat car but Audi dealers are a hassle for where I live. 90 minutes to Tulsa and about 2 hours to Little Rock to get to mediocre dealers. The better dealer is in McKinney TX but 4 hours away. My BMW dealer is in Bentonville (Walmart HQ city) and Porsche is Tulsa. Still almost bought one but ended up getting an M2 which I traded for a 911.
