Just a word of advice about the pain killers: over time, they will trigger some sadness. They're gonna deplete some of the good serotonin and stuff in your brain and that will just naturally trigger some sadness. It's an unfortunate side effect that they have. It's okay. You will be okay, I promise. Just be aware that's what is happening sometimes. It can trigger arguments and anger sometimes too. This whole situation can in general. You're both in super vulnerable emotional states because of this trauma. Coming down from pain meds late in the day just makes you even more vulnerable. It helped me a lot to understand that. Crying is okay, Kristin. It can really help the emotional healing. It's hard seeing your old life sometimes and knowing you're a long way away from getting your fitness and health back. But you will. It will take time, and it will be difficult, but you will. God has asked you to walk this path for some good reason. Try not to forget that. It's very likely that this difficult season is something that will put you in a position one day to truly help someone else get through their own difficult season. Again, sending all the love and prayers to you both! Lean on your faith, your family, and each other! There is light at the end of the tunnel, even if in some moments you cannot see it.

This was such an insightful comment! Everyone has different experiences with pain meds though. They make some people exhausted, (they can’t keep their eyes open) They make some people feel like they have more energy than they have ever had in their life (they want to build a house)! The important thing to know is these feelings are real and they are a real part of healing. It’s also important not to ignore your pain. Worried about taking pain meds and not taking them, then being in pain all of the time doesn’t help the healing process either. It’s important to manage pain and manage emotions. You have an amazing support system at home and what seems a big support system of therapists and doctors. If you are feeling a little unbalanced or not like yourself, ask your support team what they think. They will be able to tell you how you are ACTING, not feeling. Your feelings are your feelings. They will be able to tell you if you arent acting like yourself though, and this will help you negotiate any adverse effects you are going through. Sending you both Love and Positive Vibes and don’t worry about the quality of your videos!! Just keep doing what u are doing girl! The video was perfect!!:)🤍☀️

A prayer for you and Marcus [note: it's long lol] :) Father, I thank you for Kristin and the joy and peace that she has brought to others by sharing her life. I thank you for using her love for people and plants and baking and decorating and life to sow positivity and inspire others around her. I thank you preserving her life and giving her the mental and physical strength to vlog and put out content for her viewers. I praise your name and declare that you will be glorified through Marcus and Kristin's lives in this season, and I'm so grateful that you've taken care of them by giving them the support they need to pursue their spiritual, mental, and physical health. It fills me with awe that you knew this would happen and prepared the way so that everyone can look back and see this period as a time of worth-it growth and refinement rather than a time of desolation and negativity. You are good, Adonai, and I ask that you would continue to prove yourself faithful to Kristin, her sister, Marcus, Cody, Lexi, their parents, and even their close friends. Could you accelerate their recovery process even more? Or take away the pain part of it? I know it can't be easy to deal with so much pain for such a long time, and I want my sister and brother-in-Christ to be pain-free. Jesus you didn't require in-person touch for healing, so virtual can work too, no? May faith make them well! May life and joy and laughter be in their house. May your Holy Spirit comfort Kristin when she is faced with a day of sadness and regret and hints of bitterness. May your love overwhelm all fear and teach them to continue to trust you no matter what. I know your plans for them are beautiful and good and life-giving, and I pray that while these plans come to past, you would surround these two with your presence as they grow closer to you and each other. When temptation and trouble comes their way, God remind them that you are for them and that your Word is a weapon to fight against unseen opposition. Be with them, Lord. Bless them and shine your face upon them and be gracious to them. Teach Marcus how to be there for his wife in this time, but also how to take care of himself well. Show him how to lean on you and to find the beauty in every situation. Teach Kristin how to be there for her husband during this time even as you teach her how to take care of herself well. Grow them to deeper intimacy and friendship together in this, God. Increase their capacity for love and forgiveness and patience with themselves and others. May Marcus and Kristin stand strong in spirit and may their hearts dance before you as they train their bodies to do the same! Abba, have your way on this channel and in Kristin's life. I love you

Kristin, you are an inspiration. You have been my favorite youtube/influencer for years. I am so happy you and Marcus are alive and in recovery! You are my role model because I have gone through extreme emotional and physical trauma as well. When I was 9, my dad passed away from kidney failure. After he passed my siblings and I were checked to see if we showed any signs of the genetic disease he had. We found out that my brother, sister, and I all had the disease, and before we all turned 22, we all three had kidney failure and became disabled. Seeing you go through an experience that is physically and emotionally similar to me, and still praising God for letting you go through it inspires me. Now I praise God for my disability and hope I can inspire someone like you have for me. Thank you for being you, and sharing yourself with us!

Love you guys! ❤❤🌹🌹 It scares me that you have to be on pain killers and stuff, but as someone who has dealt with a tough physical situation like this myself, I understand they're a necessary evil during this difficult period! It helped me to log my daily dosages and to force rest days from the pain meds when it made sense to do so. Having a log will be helpful to ween off them eventually. You are so amazing Kris!! I remember finding your channel and being inspired by your faith years ago, and now your faith in God is even more real and inspiring to me now. He will bring you through, sending prayers and love!! 🙏🏼💛

Honestly you deserve an award for still shaving your legs through all this. I know that sounds so silly but I feel like it’s so hard to remember to do the small things to take care of yourself when something horrible has happened ...
