That is my Dads Grain Truck, I drove corn and beans from the field to elevator. I am glad your saving the door Patina. My nephew Tyler told about the truck and sent me this link. What a hoot. If you want to know about Dad, the farm or the truck let me know. My Dad Joe was a very good guy, and a Cubs fan, He passed the year the Cubs won the World Series. OK Now i have to see the rest of the video. And There was an S added to Son when my younger brother was born Seemed it did not last. Dad made me pay $5 for 'and Son'. Dennis in Virginia

E.W. 8200 means "Empty Weight " , Here in Illinois , they used to have this on trucks for how much , I can't remember , which .. either how much they can carry , How much it weighs empty or what roads and bridges they can be on safely with out ripping up the road or collapsing bridges.

God I'd love to have that extended cab Ford.. they are so hard to find.. Well, so long as it's 75 or older.. because California smog laws actually apply in Yuba County. Oh it's a 78.. well it'd be fine with a 97 7.3L Powerstroke swap because that wouldn't require to be smogged. That's like the 350 Olds Kevin just did last week, those are very appealing to me because they don't require smog.. who's to say you couldn't easily swap in a 6.6L Duramax with twin turbos and all the Gale Banks controllers and everything.. It's a factory diesel car, who cares if you have a different diesel in it? Though I'd be tempted to find a forged crank and rods and put a turbo or two on it as it is and find out if those 350's can make some power. I'm weird that way though, I like thinking up things no one else ever questions. (not that I'll ever have the money to do it) Yep, another damn LS.. LS stands for Lame Shit, people put them in everything from Acuras to Zephyrs just like Flowmasters and I'm 100% sick of them, especially with their propensity to break. Making power without smoke with a diesel is far more interesting than a LS swap to me.. especially when there's so many other cool GM engines out there for less money.. like I'm trying to talk Finnegan into getting a Kaufman Racing Equipment MR1 aluminum engine for his "Rubber Duck" Firebird and to ditch that bbc because they make a big power all aluminum Pontiac with upgraded Warp 9 heads for less than a BBC. (the Warp 9 heads split the valves to be EIEIEIEI like they should be keeping it from blowing out the valves, gaskets, or head at the center of the two cylinders that typically have two exhaust valves next to each other like every other GM engine besides the LS and the Rocket 350) That mill you saw at the end is a spline cutter for doing custom axle shafts. That looks like a Dana 60 rear.. personally I'd upgrade to an 80 or 90 with the amount of weight it's going to be seeing.. a 60 is fine for a 3/4 ton truck with mild towing, not so much for an all steel ramp bed plus a car on top plus junk in the bins.
