Love Clay!!!! But does anyone else notice the patch on his shirt?? It says Ford! And do others notice that the spark plugs have a cover on them that says Ford also to hide the position of the plugs, in other words, you can’t see the plugs in the rocker covers because it’s a Chrysler Hemi head design and Ford doesn’t want you to know that!!!

These heads have been out for a long time and to still have to grind clearance for the distributor is stupidity. Edelbrock should know that a large number of people use MSD and should compensate. I have heard that checking the heads on any aftermarket head is critical as stated by others. The copper spray on the head gasket is a good tip. If you leave links for parts in the description it helps and you can make extra money for yourself. Good video with some extra research.

I was once loolking a bit @ race car projects to build back for the street, because it seemed like it (can be) good value for money, regarding how nice things you get..... I could not have afforded something of this class, but still nice to see a video on the topic.. In this car, nothing is left of the original inner structure & hidden compartments, right? It is the outer shell peices attached to a tubular frame? I.e. all rust in hidden compartments (if there were any) is also eliminated? That is also a good thing with this kind of build...

Two things here interested me as I came across this video today. I'm an AMC guy and used to have a 70 Mark Donohue Javelin. And still have a 360 and 401 engines mothballed for some project later. Secondly I heard the name Lake Speed and I had met Lake Speed (the Nascar driver dad) in Feb. 2008 at a local church related to Motor Racing Outreach. A super nice guy and had him autograph several items I had.

Tim, Yes to most of your statements. It is strong, it is waterproof, it is a carcinogen and it is very useful. You should be wearing a mask, that is the minimum. We, of a certain age, have done many things that are detrimental to our longevity. We will always have fun and if we live as long as Sally and my dad, I will call it good!

I searched what kind of brakes the 2012 Civic has, it said they are drum brakes? Mine is a 4 door LX, would that make a difference? Brakes Plus wants to charge $100.00 per drum/disc if they need to be turned..... is that normal? Holy ****!.... I'm going there today to get them checked out. Maybe I can learn how to do it at youtube university...that would be nice!! Thanks for the video!!

The sad part, you can't even get a Mustang in that shape for under $6k in northern California anymore. Of the five for sale near me right now, 4 have no engine and one has a 6 cyl that's running but doesn't sound right. There is a 68 Cuda with no engine in parts for $2k that I'm freaking out over and a 70 Cuda body with nothing else for $4500 -.- two of my dream cars. Old cars have gotten stupidly expensive especially around here. It's why I've started looking at 70's cars and newer.. there's a 77 Monza Spyder V8 for sale for $3k that I'd love to have, despite never seeing one on tv or knowing anyone that had one or seen one in person.. there's just something about them that I like for some reason. I've been thinking about possibly getting a Toyota Cressida but considering I say the name wrong 90% of the time and really would want a late model 5.7L V8 in it.. that's not going to happen, though you can buy those engines straight from a wrecker for $2800, I don't have the money for a trans and all the stuff to get it running let alone smog legal.
@OldTimeRevivalАй бұрын
We've got about $5k in this one so far. I suppose that's good?

Agreed and thanks!, It came together pretty well and hasn't been too difficult. We didn't initially have the goal of building it as cheap and easy as we could. That kinda just happened once we got started, which still hasn't been that cheap. We're currently in it for about $5,000. However, I'm not complaining because hey, we now have a running '65 Mustang Fastback! We've got a few more things to do, then we'll start upgrading. First upgrade...a radio? 😂 Thanks for the comment and following along! Tim Davis, Sally's Speed Shop
