Hey Tim, that nitrous bottle should be turned so the line is straight down. there’s a siphon tube in it that hits the bottom corner of the bottle parallel with the outlet.

The best thing you can do. Is get a Chass of starting flute to check for air leaks. on your Moter. If you have a air leak when you hit the Nitrous you can burn your car down to the ground. Start it up and spray around the Moter if it starts to rev up you have a air leak!

I have seen way too many nitrous backfires throughout all my years of racing, it's literally a bomb in the intake manifold. I personally hate nitrous, I will stick with twin screw superchargers and turbos. I have burst panels on the intake manifolds in all of my vehicles with forced induction.

I am not a fan of nitrous, I prefer my horsepower to be available anytime I step on the pedal. Get rid of the nitrous and put a kenne bell 3.6LC twin screw on it and you will make easy 1200hp reliably. I have a 1979 Malibu with a LS3 based darton mid sleeved 434 cubic inch motor with a 4.9LC kenne bell and this car is a true daily driver with full interior and factory air conditioning and it consistently runs high 7s in the quarter and that is without the party pulley.

Plus not have to worry about what it's going to cost to fix when you could be using that money to repair your Orange Cabover and Boats.
