Enjoyed watching this. I'm 62 and have lived in Ordsall for the past 25 years but remember clearly when the area was all 2 up 2 down cobbled streets with shops and pubs and a sense of community. Unfortunately all long gone.

I was Christened in St Clements in 1964, lived in Brassington street until 69/70 , the cobbled streets, the rag and bone man. My nana and grandad Mitchell around the corner. remember playing and picnicing with my mam and dad in Ordsall park. My dad worked on the docks and at Kraft in Trafford Park. I remember with affection those times, even if sometimes it was a little scary. We moved to Girvan , Scotland in 1973 after my brother was mugged for his Annual school dinner money which he was carrying..Cheers Ian McGeechan

What a outstanding documentary I’ve really enjoyed this any more What Loving memories Of Salford The people of Salford are the toughest people ever and god bless each of them,, They never had it easy and they all still got on well - was so unreal how they suffered because the council took years to do anything for them,, For all those who passed since this came out years ago may they all rest in peace in heaven and god bless all the loving family’s and dear friends from Salford (( These videos are the history of Salford and I can’t believe how it was for them

My grandparents lived at 5 Tatton Street in the 60's. I was an early teen living in Stretford then, but I spent a lot of time in Salford. Prior to moving to Tatton street my grandparents were licensees at 'The Britannia hotel' (Ordsall), and then the 'The Cattle market Tavern' on Cross Lane. Now in my 70's, I live in Australia, but I watch these you-tube clips because I still have a love for the old Salford and its people.

Lovely presentation, thanks. Nowadays with rents, gas , electricity being totally disproportionately high in costs the working class people can’t afford much, let alone socialise in pubs , cinemas etc. Eccles

I hope to God that people around the world take something from this. Salfordians are the most wonderful, considerate people in the world. You just have to know them.

I wish I'd have known about this. I lived in Ordsall (West PArk St.) from 1958 until 1986 (Napier Green from '74), and have so many photos which will be lost once I'm gone. Me, my brother and three friends once had our photos taken in the street (I still have a copy), but the man taking them was only interested in making money, not keeping them for posterity. It has to be said that, in the end, Ordsall was a good place to escape from.
