We had two cats from completely different different litters, absolutely no relation, male and female, black & white male - solid black female, both fixed, and 1 year apart in age -- best buddies for life, loved each other but still had occasional fights/arguments. Absolutely do not need to be related or from same litter, etc in order to share the same bed or cat house. They’ll work out whatever disagreements they might have. Only problem you might have is with the feathered flock. Remember - “no one owns a cat - a cat owns the people”.

I too have 2 cats. Got them a year apart. KitKat was a ‘teen’ when he was dropped off with me as a found stray kitty. We got him a kitten for a friend 8 months later. Loki was a kitten from a rescue. They just love each other! Both neutered males.

I remember the day Chad found Spruce and his siblings, a set of triplets that the mother had abandoned. He was only a few hours old when he was brought to you to feed and care for. He has been so adorable and definitively the son of his mischievous father. When I lived in Indiana, and SE Missouri, I had one of those fleece lined Russian type winter hats and they are the best! I could shovel snow for hours and never get cold. The other thing I had was a female rose pink Carhartt winter bib overalls. Not nylon covered, but thick thick cotton, but oh my soooo warm. in fact to hot at times.

I rescued 2 males kittens that were brothers and they did fantastic together I had a female older cat at the time and maybe because they were kittens they all got along fine If you go to a shelter they usually know which cats will get along with each other and they are probably already spayed/neutered/savings for sure and you saved them!! I am thankful for the teachings that my ten dogs have shown me over the years.They have shown me what unconditional love is, they have shown me true loyalty, they have given me so many happy memories. we can learn so much from animals. on that note, if we used our common sense a little bit more we'd realise that us humans interfere too much with what animals have achieved for centuries, my pack of dogs taught each new puppy how to behave, they taught them to be house trained and they learned their place quickly in the pack all without me having to train them, I believe our emotions hinder them sometimes we should trust them to know how things are done

If you have a choice,two litter or family cats from a farm who are use to hunting for their food and have been taught by other barn cats! You will love them! And yes make sure you have them spayed or neutered!
