Absolutely! I think we should treat our mental health just as seriously as we treat our physical health. If you go to a doctor for your physical injuries and have no problem taking medicine for physical illnesses, the same should go for your mental illnesses. Just because the problem takes place in the brain doesn’t make it any less of a medical issue 😅

No worries! Happy to answer. The main doctrine of Christianity is that anyone who accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior are saved and can enter heaven when we pass away. Our salvation is only based on him dying for our sins, and us accepting that as truth in our lives. It is not based on following any lists of rules or being a so-called “good person.” However, because this is a relationship-based salvation (where we declare to God and the world that we want a personal relationship with Jesus), it should imply that we live a life that pleases him :). Just like how we want to honor our parents and make them proud by the way we live, our chief concern as Christians should be to love others in a way that brings glory to God. That’s pretty much it! All of the “dos and don’ts” of the Old Testament have their special cultural significance, but our salvation is not based on those rules. It is only based on accepting Jesus into our lives. Of course there are guidelines on how to live a life that is “worthy of the calling we have received,” but that’s why this relationship-based doctrine is a daily practice. I hope that makes sense!

It doesn't fully make sense to me as I always thought the Bible is the book of God, and we have to follow its teachings as that was the word and commandments of God, we can't pick and choose. ⁠We are saved by grace ( Jesus) by him sacrificing himself on the cross for our sins .If you simply choose to believe that, and accept his sacrificial offer he then gives you his righteousness in exchange for our sins. Grace isn’t based on doings it’s simply belief, if we had to do something then his sacrifice wouldn’t be a gift. The Old Testament was a foreshadowing of what was to come thereby God established a new covenant.
