If you get one, get him/her a friend so that s/he has companionship. Ducks are social birds. And they are somewhat high maintenance. You've got to provide swimming for them, proper food (no bread/bakery products) and keep them safe from predators. Plus it's essential to pay attention to their health and know how to treat various ailments such as bumblefoot and the like. It's a commitment. Do your research first.

Just FYI, they are hard to train especially for toilet training. They will poop everywhere, and you will have to clean after them. The owner of this channel mentioned it before that the ducks poop on the floor sometimes. It’s better if you have a lawn or a backyard.
