Thank you so much for your useful and great tutorial. I've heard a lot about drizzle in processing but never had the chance to really have a look on what was this about. Thanks to you now I'll start using drizzle in my processing. All the best, clear skies and shine on from Chile Cluster One Observatory

Hi i enjoy your shows when can we expect first light of your new zwo asi camera with mono processing?.

We're waiting for some good weather to get out there and finally give the zwo a proper go! It's actually been snowing a bit here in Vegas...

Hey you guys hosting anything for Messier Marathon next month? Looking for as many star party sites in case I get rained out in Los Angeles! Thanks!
@GalacticHunter5 жыл бұрын
Hi Victor, we don't have any plan as of right now but the Las Vegas Astronomical Society often meets to do the Messier Marathon each year. We might join them if we have the time!

Thanks for the tutorial. I just have one question. Does the Batch preprocessing script debayer the images or does this have to be done first? The reason I ask is because the resulting image I get seems to be black and white.

Are the raw files still available for practice? When I click on the link provided, only the processed file, M78 DSLR Master with Drizzle.xisf, appears to be available.
@GalacticHunter3 жыл бұрын
We had to replace the raw frames with the masters because the raw frames were taking way too much space on the cloud, you can still use the master files to go through the entire workflow, just skip the stacking part

@@GalacticHunter Thanks for the response. I figured it was probably something like that but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Have you used cosmetic correction while stacking to remove the satellites/plane trails from some of the images? Any plans to go to NEAF in April?
@GalacticHunter5 жыл бұрын
No we actually never use cosmectic correction (seems like the scrips takes care of it? not sure) but we should definitely learn that. As for NEAF, we can't afford to go this year but hopefully in 2020!

@@GalacticHunter The sigma clipping, in the Image Integration parameters, takes care of satellites and other inconsistencies during the stacking.
@GalacticHunter5 жыл бұрын
@@dgodiex Thanks for sharing, we'll give it a try!
@dgodiex5 жыл бұрын
@@GalacticHunter I'm sure you're already did, that's why there are no satellites in your integrated image. Go to the Batch preprocessing window, go to to the Lights list, and check under Integration and see what parameter you're using. There are a few variations of the sigma clipping, but all of of them get rid of satellites among other things. Cheers! And thanks for for the videos. You two are awesome.

You giys ever thought about something like we send you our stacked image and you edit them in videos? :)
@GalacticHunter5 жыл бұрын
Definitely if we had more time but with our schedules/work etc it's already difficult to make videos so maybe one day if one of us works on Galactic Hunter full time we could, that sounds like a good idea :)
