Good morning Blair! I’m a 20 year old college student and our lives are so different but I feel like i resonate with you so much. Your videos are such a good watch in the mornings. Your vibe is so calming when everything is just so “fast life” based nowadays. I’m usually not a commenter but a silent watcher, but I just wanted to remind you that your work into these videos never goes unnoticed.❤️

We just returned from our fifth Disney cruise and we didn’t see our daughter half the time, she has been in love with the kids, Club since she was in oceaneers, now she’s in edge, and they do such a fantastic job, entertaining the kids, most of the time she just wanted to be in there! My husband and I got so much “date time” in on a seven night cruise 🚢

Nora was so cute showing us the toy cabinets! A little Blair! I empathize with your kitchen. Our house was built in 1991 with peach countertops and wallpaper in each room. (We purchased the house in 2003). The kitchen was one of our last projects due to cost. I wish we would have done it earlier. Glad you are talking with the contractor. You will be so happy when it's finished! Looking forward the the sourdough video!

One of my favorite things about Disneyland is the transportation. At the end of the day, take the train to Tomorrow land then hop on the monorail to the Downtown Disney and then it’s only a short walk to the Disneyland hotel. You can take the monorail into Disney as well, but then you miss the walk down Main Street .

I just visited Disneyland this week for my best friend’s 35th! and we had Cafe Orleans for lunch and man oh man was the Monte Cristo sandwich yummy! Our group also loved the risotto and Caesar salad. I got a Dole Whip and watched the little show at the tiki room also ☺️. I was surprised at how much we were able to do even at a fairly large crowd time period! I think I might need to start planning a WDW trip ☺️😍. Can’t wait to see your Disneyland vlogs!

OMG YAY!!! As a Disneyland goer/Orange County resident and big fan of yours for awhile, I’m so so excited for you to be coming here! Best food in my opinion is at California adventure park. The Quesabirria tacos and chicken karage sandwich both in the San fransokyo quick service area but two different pickup locations are the best!!! Also try shmoozies!

Hi Blair, long time subscriber and long time Disneyland Passholder! The food is SO good at DLR! My favs are the Chicken Shawarma at the Shawarma Palace cart, the Quesabirria Tacos at Cocina Cucamonga, the Corndogs at Corndog Castle or the Red Wagon, the Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl at Royal Street Veranda, the Lobster Roll at Harbour Galley, and the Shrimp and Grits at Tiana's Palace. Also more than happy to answer any questions as we go literally all the time! It's definitely much different than Disney World!

So excited for your trip! Our favorite quick service at Disneyland is the Jolly Holiday (grilled cheese, tomato soup and raspberry Mickey Macaron). We also like the healthy options at the GCH Craftsman Grill (not the outside bar) at the Grand Californian which is also great if you want a break from the parks. At DCA, the Lamplight Lounge and Pym’s Test Kitchen are fun. And of course churros. Have a great time!

In Disneyland Bengal BBQ in Adventureland is a good quick service. River Belle is good for breakfast. Also in New Orleans Square Cafe Orleans. If you are going to California Adventure for a great restaurant I would definitely do Carthy Circle. It’s beautiful and they have great photographs of old Hollywood Stars! We were passholders for years and in 2022 retired to Louisiana. I can’t tell you how, even at 70 , much I miss it. We do drive to WDW quite often though. Enjoy!

Yay, I'm so glad you're going to visit Disneyland! I live in Southern California and used to go to Disneyland all the time with my kids when they were little. We still love it but my kids are now teens so we don't have as much free time as before and so much has changed in the parks, especially the cost increase. I'm planning to get the Southern California multi-day ticket and hoping I end up there on a day that you're there too! Definitely rope drop the popular Fantasyland rides that your kids will enjoy since many don't have a lightning lane. Also, I recently got a sourdough starter for the first time and can't wait for you to make a sourdough video!

People are warning you about Disneyland? Oh just you wait, it's the best. My impression going there for the first time was, "oh this is park is WAY better for little kids". I just love the convenience there. I love how you don't have to go to HS just to see Star Wars or go to Epcot just got ride on a guardians ride. Fall out of bed into a park, and then fall out of one park into the other. Yes yes yes. Oh and uhm World of Color, hello?! Also the DL parade right now is amazing with the best music. The characters there are on another level. The only thing I will brace you for Small World....this is the original, so it's old...and it was made to travel to and from a worlds fair, right? So it's uhm a little smaller in scale compared to the MK version. But the outside is so cool and it is historic so very cool to see. That's one thing I love about DL too - when you are sitting in the Tiki Room, it's WALT'S tiki room. When you are in Small World, it's WALT's small world. You are walking in his footsteps, sitting where he sat! Oh also get ready for MK's pirates to be ruined by DL's pirates! It seemed so much better to me! (Oh also, I've been meaning to ask you this about the kitchen for a while - have you considered an induction stove? I splurged on an induction stove with regular electric oven and it's the best purchase I've made in my life; we are obsessed)

Disneyland is now my home park, and I just love the coziness of it. It is almost a culture shock compared to Disney world. The food is so much better (in my opinion), the rides are so fun, and it is so manageable!! I don’t have kids (Disneyland is always mine and my sisters trip every year and we don’t leave feeling like we didn’t do it all. I think genie+ is the way to go there (so much easier than Disney worlds version). Could talk for hours about Disneyland/DCA!!

Blair, I’ve been watching for years and I am so glad you are finally going to Disneyland! I know you and your brand/audience is Disney World. But Disneyland just hits different and it’s the original. For food- Beignets for breakfast that you can eat before Haunted Mansion (for Riley), my faves are really anything from New Orleans Square. I would get gumbos in bread bowls if you are going to sit and wait for the evening parade. Of course, churros and corn dogs can’t be beat at Disneyland! At DCA, Flo’s for dinner was great, the San Francisco staples- Ghirardelli and Boudin, and I hear the birria tacos are amazing. I’m so happy you will finally get to experience the magic of Disneyland. I get tears of joy just thinking about Disneyland. #IYKYK

Also, regarding the beach trip- the water on the west coast comes from the arctic, so it’s pretty cold if you’re planning for late winter/early spring. I live 30 minutes from beautiful Monterey and I’m not in that water. But if you get really warm SoCal weather, it shouldn’t be too bad. You can also check out local LA landmarks. The Griffith Observatory is a fave spot.

I’m SO excited for you to go to Disneyland!!! I’m a Magic Key Holder so I go quite a bit! The Golden Horseshoe quick service might be great for your family because they do a show (if you time it right). As far as sit-down restaurants the Blue Bayou is a classic (ambience is GREAT, food is decent) since it’s in the Pirates ride. The Plaza Inn is great for breakfast and dinner. And the Disneyland Hotel has Goofy’s Kitchen which is character dining. For DCA, the Lamplight Lounge is great. For quick-service there are a ton of options in San Fransokyo!

I love your new table and the cabinets under the TV are sooooo pretty! Well done :-) Your videos always make me so hungry though! And yes, I am one of many people who are 'scared' of sourdough.... I have tried to make a starter from scratch so many times now and it has failed miserably every time :-( But if all goes well *fingers crossed* I'll be moving into a new home within the next month or 2 and I'll be having much more space and a better oven and all that, so I'm gonna try again when I'm settled in my house this year :-) I'm already in a FB group that's about everything sourdough, and I've even seen so many delicious 'discard' recipes that I'm like: count me in please!!!!! So... really, fingers crossed haha OH MY GOSH a Disneyland trip! That is so exciting! That is my number 1 bucket list thing.... again, when I'm settled in my new house, I'm also going to try and be better with my financial things LOL because I really want to save for another big Disney trip. We loved our Cruise and WDW trip last year so so much, so I would be so proud if I can give such a trip again to my daughter. The one last year was so kindly gifted by my mom so we were so grateful, but I think it would be even better if I can say: I did this! I saved up for this and I made this happen! That's one of my goals for somewhere in the next 2-3 years or so. We'll see. Anyway, I rambled on enough. Thank you for this vlog, it was so nice and cosy, just what I needed on a cold sunday evening here in Belgium. Hope you are all doing well. Warm hugs xxxxx

Disneyland is where it is at. We live on the east coast and DisneyLand is the best.. For Quick Service - Bengal Cafe or the Jolly Holiday - great for breakfast or Lunch. In California Adventure The Cozy Cone is just fun. Pym's Kitchen is a unique experience, the pretzel is amazing. Or Aunt Kay's Cafe in San Fransokyo. Sit down, you can't go wrong with The Plaza. We didn't stay in Disneyland Hotel, since it is crazy over priced, but the good neighbor hotels are awesome and very close. Highly recommend the World of Color Show. The Cars ride is intense for little riders, but most amazing ride ever. Be sure to look for the little Leprechaun house (Little Golden Books) outside Indiana Jones ride.

Goofy’s Kitchen for breakfast- right inside DL Hotel. It’s character dining; awesome for kids and adults alike. Storytellers Cafe inside Grand Californian, buffet with many options. Grand Californian feels a lot like Wilderness Lodge at WDW. Quick service, try Hungry Bear in Critter Country. Also, grab a Jack-Jack Num Num cookie in DCA for the kids. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts of DL! I’ve only been once and numerous, numerous times to WDW and DCL. I had the privilege of eating at Club 33 and that was the most magical experience ever. So if that opportunity ever presents itself, grab it. DL is definitely easier to navigate than WDW. Can’t wait to follow along ❤

Loved this vlog. ♥️ incoming lots of info from a DLR is my home park enthusiast: So happy to hear the DLR news but got a little sad for Riley bc unfortunately Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion had its last day of operation today for a good long while as the outdoor queue area undergoes extensive refurbishment and as they add on their own version of the Memento Mori store as a carriage house type situation at the exit of the ride between it and Splash/Tiana. Hopefully you'll fall in love with DLR and make your way back though. DL cant miss character breakfast at the plaza inn. Or mickey waffles at Carnation Cafe. Alice in Wonderland, Storybookland Canal Boats, Casey Jr. Train rides unique to DL and so special. Small World in DL cannot be beat. Toontown play area as well as mickey and minnie's house are great. you can actually walk up stairs into the castle to see the story of sleeping beauty. cant miss that! Also unique is the Matterhorn in Fantasyland and vintage shooting exposition game in frontierland that is fun to play and watch being played that Riley would enjoy. Grand Circle Tour of the DL Railroad (there's something special for Colin in particular to see between the Tomorrowland and Main St. station). DCA the redwood creek challenge trail is perfect to get the wiggles out and pretty secluded as is the quick service restaurant for the grand californian hotel called Craftsman Grill which has really good food. This is accessible by the Grizzly River Run ride. Cars land is my favorite ever. I highly recommend you all watch Cars as a family if you can so that when youre there it's even more special. Every evening at sunset (google Anaheim sunset time) they have a neon lighting ceremony and i love it so much. ah so much more to add but youre going to love it. DL hotel is so lovely also Trader Sam's has a great quick service option for breakfast as well as lunch/dinner called Tangaroa Terrace.

We LOVED Carnation Cafe for brunch, sitting out on the patio just watching people come in the park was truly a moment I won't forget! Also loved Jolly Holiday (tomato soup + grilled cheese soooo good) + Lamplight Lounge was fun but food was limited. If the kids are chill / stroller napping and you can get in for a drink do it! Disneyland Hotel is where we stayed too and to be able to hop on the monorail right by the hotel and be inside DL park at night was FABULOUS! Both are these parks are very quick service heavy compared to WDW.

Hi! Since you are staying at the Disneyland Hotel, walk into Downtown Disney and the Monorail entrance will be on your left (directly across from the Lego Store on the right side). You can take the Monorail into Disneyland in the morning and then it will drop you off in Tomorrowland. Also note that there are train stops in Toon Town (which is near Small World), Tomorrowland, Main Street, & New Orleans Square. There are 3 separate trains (2 trains face forward seats, and 1 train the seats face sideways. I would suggest for sit-down restaurants: Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe. For quick service, go to the Plaza Inn for the chicken (right side of Main Street when you’re facing the castle). Have a great trip at Disneyland!!!

Anything in DCA, they constantly update and it’s fantastic! As for Disneyland can’t go wrong with plaza inn for breakfast or fried chicken dinner! As a CA native, just be prepared for cold water and not the greatest of beaches, the views of cliffs and beach are amazing but beaches/sand themselves do not compare to the east coast. Also please report back when cruise time comes. We are also waiting until the 3 year mark for this exact reason 🤩

Nora is going to LOVE It’s a Small World in Disneyland! When walking from the Disneyland Hotel, after Security, Lego store, on the left you’ll see a monorail station. If you want to take that it drops off at Tomorrowland by Submarine and Autopia rides. There’s also a train station, if you want to jump on that to go around the park, it’s to the left when you come out of the Monorail exit. Matterhorn, Space Mountain, It’s a Small World and Toon Town are all close. Food, Tortilla Joe’s, Downtown Disney has the best table side Guacamole, the rest of the food is good also. Hoping you aren’t going during Spring break, crowded is an understatement.

I would consider myself a Disney World regular (at least a trip every year), but over the last 4 years I have started visited Disneyland more alternating with Disney World trips. I have really fallen in love with the pacing, vibes, and food of DLR! I still love WDW, but DLR has a special place in my heart. Food wise- I LOVE Carnation Cafe (fried pickles, walt’s chili are my faves). Also love Lamplight Lounge for their lobster nachos, potato skins, and brussel sprout caesar salad. You can’t go wrong with any Disneyland quick service. I feel overall that DLR food puts WDW food to shame. The parks just feel so much more manageable and the weather is usually a DREAM (I’ve been in November, July, and January and have had great weather each time!) So excited for you to go this trip!

Sometimes they are gone within minutes. Walk ups can be available for both, but pretty limited. At Blue Bayou the Monte Cristo is huge and delicious. They also have bottomless mint julep! At Trader Sam’s the long beans are to die for. The inside of Trader Sam’s is very cool if you can go, but keep in mind that children are only allowed before 8pm, after that it’s 21+. Churros at Disneyland are way better than Disneyworld btw (in my opinion 😂). Mickey Beignets are great too. Hope you all have a blast! We’ve been to both Disneyland and Disneyworld and they’re both special in their own different ways. 🏰
