Meagan, you are such a sweet and beautiful mommy. You have loved for all your children. You probably don't notice because you deal with your everyday life. But I have been watching your videos for years now. I've watched the children grow up. I would like you to know that little Jude, such a loving little boy, melts when he is near you. He really appreciates the attention you give him. Your right hand chef!! Thank you to you and Mike for sharing your beautiful family with us. I know you are tired and very busy. So it's okay to take a break from doing videos. We'll wait for you 💕 Take your time. My subscription will still be with you. From Texas ❤

I use the Taste of Home cooked eggnog recipe. It uses the whole egg (a full dozen) and no straining necessary! It has never failed me! So, so good!! It makes a punch bowl full!
@cindland5 сағат бұрын
Thanks for the tip. I grew up eating raw eggnog. So the only way I knew was using whole eggs. But I do know about,a,one a custard base. Would prefer using the whole egg.

You could make meringue with the egg whites, thereby creating another dessert! Or in keeping with the pie themes, you could make a Swiss meringue buttercream cake. The recipe I use from BBC good food uses about 12-13 egg whites. Merry Christmas✨

I’m like you. I love all the dough recipes, making bread for my family and especially sour dough. But I only eat bread maybe once a week, and I don’t like sandwiches. So I freeze it and it sits in my freezer, and we’re empty nesters so no one else to eat it either. Husband will eat it for toast but likes sandwich bread to be soft and pliable. So I make regular bread now for him.

Merry Christmas. I just looked up the difference between eggnog and custard as I kept saying to my daughter that you were making custard to go with your tart😀😀 I had no idea what egg nog was, heard of it but never drank it. But as you were making yours I kept thinking that that's how I make custard. The recipe for eggnog seems to say to use your egg whites too😀 But it doesn't matter as you love it. Keep having a lovely life with all your lovely family. Xx

It's a few days later so probably too late, but next time you have a bunch of egg whites: coconut macaroons are great! The recipe I use, asks for only eggs whites, sugar and desiccated coconut. But that recipe is Dutch with measurements for the sugar and coconut in grams, so it might be easier for you to just find an American recipe.
