Our Reaction To Dreamcatcher(드림캐쳐) 'Scream' + 'BOCA' MVs

Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point. Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy. Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song?

DC is not just about their title tracks, but are about their diversed Bsides. Dystopia Trilogy Bsides: Red Sun, Black or White, In the Frozen, Jazz Bar, Cant Get You Out of My Mind, Wind Blows. Hope u get to these before you move on to their next story line. o/c u have Road to Utopia to finish. it's fun to compare their Bsides between their story lines. also, personally, just becuz they have a special MV doesn't mean I LIKE THAT SONG.. as u might have noticed.

Dreamcatcher will always bring some relevant meaning to your songs. SCREAM, BOCA and ODD EYE are part of the "Dystopia" trilogy that talks about the hatred that people spread precisely because they are behind a computer and think they can say whatever they want by hiding in internet profiles. I know it's hard to pay attention to the video and the lyrics at the same time. SCREAM: Don't listen to the haters🙉 BOCA: Don't talk to the haters.🙊 ODD EYE: Don't see the haters🙈

I love the way you guys come up with your own analysis and then look up the official storyline! It’s such a nice way to really engage with artistic content, the music and lyrics and visual components all together, and it’s so interesting to see how you initially view it versus how you think about it after looking it up.

dreamcatcher \:D/ wow not sure what you selected for the captions in the scream mv, but the english translation is just horrible. when possible just select plain english, not english(uk, etc etc). most of those except the plain english one are done by fans. I can't speak for the other languages, but whoever translated the version you watched did a horrible job - a lot of the meaning was totally lost in translation lol
